Felt like an Earthquake, but that's ridiculous - this is England. I must have been having a bad dream, but wait! The fiance felt it too...

Earthquake Hits Much of England

Guess I wasn't imagining stuff after all.

Everyone OK?

Slept right through it:D Natural disasters I sleep through...kiddie stirs in her bed and i'm awake like a shot. So it must not have stirred her either.

5.3 they say - that's pretty respectable, isn't it? Especially for a country that doesn't really get them...

It was the weird juddering noise that woke me - I thought it was a nightmare. In a way I'm kinda glad it woke me - I woulda been seriously pissed off if I'd missed it all

BWAH HAH HAH HAH

Just heard it referred to on the news as 'A very British Earthquake'. ie- millions of people across the country talking about it but, when you look closely, nothing really happened :D

The reporter then pointed to 'rubble' by the side of the road... about 3 roof tiles and a brick!

RAOFL! Oh my sides, my sides...

That's it, the universe is TRYING to make me have another panic attack!

Scared the crap outta me, if anyone wants me I'll be in a quivvering wreck under the bed...

:D:kiss::rose::heart: *hugs you tight* I was told once that earthquakes were the universes way of shaking off bad luck. A little shiver every now and again clears the air for a new beginning!

A little shiver is fine, it's when it turns into a full on convulsion that it's a worry.

Psst

Read the news of the quake on MSN page... when I clicked for further news because I thought a quake in the Isles was an anomolie, I read that those Isles have 200 quakes annually but most are so small they are not felt. Wow!

Here I am in the "hot zone" of the Pacific rim and I think we have fewer per annum. Sending out good wishes to all there that home, hearth, and trinkets survived - Amber

I am too far away to have felt it.

I felt the Folkestone earthquake and a much larger one in Gibraltar many years ago.
