Need Advice from the Great Authors Here

Okay, here I go with yet another question.

I am writing a story right now (not posted, just in the works) for a site and I want to involve a sexual experience between two males. Seeing as I am a woman, I don't know how to write it to be believable. I have seen men have sex together but would it be considered rude to ask someone to describe their first time with a man for me, so that I could depict the scene more realistically? I just don't want it be cliche and I don't want to assume that anal sex for a woman is the same as it is for a man. Because I don't know.

Any advice would be helpful. I know I always get great tips from the authors here.

Thanks in advance.

I love sll the comments you throw in here, I'm a sucker for an ego stroke but I'm also a woman *L*

You could certainly ask for advice but I'm not 100% sure you'd get it. You could also do a search on the forums for "gay male experience" and see what posts come out from that :)

Good luck!

You could go to the Gay Male section here and do a keyword search of tags on "first time."

There are a surprising number of women authors here who write gay male fiction (myself included), just as there are a number of male authors here who write lesbian fiction--with the help of an editor or two, that fiction is usually believable.

First thing to do is read through a lot of the gay male fiction. Those authors, male and female, have already done a lot of the research for you.

Second thing to do is to remember that being female doesn't entirely cut you off from similar experiences. Men and women do get aroused by a lot of the same things. A deep kiss, a pinch of a nipple, a bite on the neck. Both men and women breath faster, sweat, moan, yell, shout. Penis and clit stiffen and get engorged with blood (the clit, after all, is a penis and the penis is a clit--they start out as the same organ).

Third thing to remember is that if you've had sex with a man, then you're' half way there. You know what a male body feels like, smells like; how it acts and reacts during sex, etc. If you've had anal intercourse, you're even closer.

See. You're not as ignorant as you think. This is not to say that you don't need to do any research. You don't know what it feel like to have a prostate stimulated, or testicles licked or a penis sucked. You don't know the male orgasm as compared to the female, or how it feel to "fuck" someone with a penis. But you'll find older threads on some of these subjects, just put in the right key words. And you'll find plenty of info in the gay male stories. Start with what you know, and go from there.

A major difference between anal sex for men and anal sex for women is the male prostate gland. You can read in the gay male stories to see how it feels to a man to have that massaged, and center on that.

Casual gay sex is usually extremely casual, with hardly any words being spoken. I'm referring to a glory hole type of encounter, or back room in a book store. After all, when men are looking for sex, that's what they want, not conversation.

I see nothing wrong with asking questions like this on this forum. It might be awkward or rude to ask a gay friend in person, but here it's okay.

Just make it up! Jules Verne never really went to the moon, but his imagination filled in the gaps. As long as it's a good story, it will fly.

Great Authors, eh? Oh well. When you want the advice of a schlocky hack, ask me again :(

:) I knew I'd find some great answers here. Oh and Jenny Jackson, I'll take advice from anyone :)

I've bookmarked the links and will follow the advice given. Thank you all so much!

P.s. Thanks for the link to the comcast film. That's the kind of story I'm wanting to write about, two men in a relationship. Not just a casual one time thing. All of your advice is going to be really helpful. Thank you again, Everyone!!

Let me see... "After some perliminary lubrication, he plunged his massive pork-sword deep into Arnold's waiting pooper." Naw...

Actually, there really isn't much difference between hetero and gay sex as far as writing. All the emotions, feelings, touching etc are the same.

Just write it.

dammit, great?

if i may put in my two 'pennorth all the same...

gay sex doesn't necessarily need to involve anal penetration. this 'bitch and butch' thing isn't true. i know gay couples who enjoy each other intimately without penetrative sex.

just a take. :D

good luck with the piece. :):rose:

Actually, there is a considerable difference, because of the prostate gland. If you are writing about anal sex on a man, you have to mention that, because it is an important part of the sensations.
:D

I love that this thread sparked some discussion on the subject. It's really helping me out to know the different takes on things. Thank you for that!

This is quite true. What Kinsey dismissed as "mutual masturbation" is a very intimate and lovely way to fuck. For women, too-- and for het couples.:)

(invisible2u, you'll find that the problem is getting people to shut up! :p )

Now, if it was my story...

Now, if it was my story...

I'd have the man and a woman together as a couple. For years, the woman has been nagging him that she wants a threesome. Finally, he gives in and arranges her to have another man. Only, the two men hit it off.

That could be a funny story. I can imagine some of the dialogue between the women and two men.

Then, again, most of my stuff is tongue-in-cheek funny and not meant to be taken seriously.

I seriously doubt I could write a gay male story. Hetero - Yes. Lesbian - Definately. But I tend to sty away from writing sex stories entirely most of the time. There are too many comedies prancing around inside me head.

That said, if I were going to write a gay male story, I doubt it would be much different than a lesbian story (different, um... mechanics, I suppose). But the mechanical element is minor in any story. Both Gay Male and Lesbian stories are about interactions between loving couples. That's what's really important. Get that down and the mechanical parts don't matter that much. I'd most likely leave that part out anyway.
