so whats the plans?

That's what I'm doing for the woman who has put up with me for 20 years!
 You really live up to your pseudonym there, don't ya? ;)

 As for moi and the hubbie: Romantic dinner at one of our fave, high-end restaurants (pre-fixe, special Valentine's menu which I'm sure is going to be wonderful!). I'll give him a card--I pick out excellent cards :) I don't know what he'll get for me, but he can't go wrong with a box of chocolates...and we have some amazing, gourmet chocolate stores in town for him to choose from

I think we'd both like to get each other something more, but honestly, there's nothing more either one of us wants or needs. Time in each other's company is more than enough.

LOL - well I try to live up to it, anyway!

Of course this is a "big one" (20th) so I'm making it extra special! ;)

Your plans sound lovely as well! Have FUN! :)

Hmmm, I've been wracking my brains all night about what to get myself. Can't afford a lot but maybe a single rose. Though the kittens might eat it. Hmmm. I still don't know. Whatever it is, I'm sure I'll appreciate my own thoughtfulness.

I'll be getting nothing on the actual day unless I buy it myself. Hubby's on the road, so he can't magically poof something here. I don't know if he'll get me anything this weekend or not. I got him a card. I never know what else to buy him.

I got the kiddies stuffed animals, coloring books, twistable crayons, and a small box of chocolates.

DW and I celebrated tonight since we're both busy tomorrow.

She received a card, bouquet of flowers and a bauble from the jewelers.

I received a card, a wallet and a gift card for the Home Depot. :D

And tomorrow night--dinner at one of our favorite steak houses.

A box of Croustillant au Chocolat cereal from France for my ex, who is still a good friend. :D Sounds silly, I know, but I've discovered a sensational treat that will tickle your tastebuds til Tuesday, and am going to share it. :)

It's my last day of work before a long weekend (because we celebrate cows, not presidents in my district), and it's payday, so I'm looking forward to it. Work should be a breeze; most of the kids I see tomorrow haven't seen me since last week because of testing, so I know I'll end up saving some time to "just chat" with them. Plus they always bring me candy and chocolates :D

Then I'm hanging out with the young man who's been staying with us, and I have three outings with various friends this weekend. A nice end to a good week.

I'm not really bothered by the whole day; I usually don't celebrate it even when I'm not single. I just feel weird about the mandatory gestures. Actually, my ex from my last long-term relationship totally ignored the 14th last year and sent me a "Happy Not Valentine's Day" gift and card on a random day in April. Put a huge smile on my face.

Anyway, Happy valentine's Day to everyone :rose::kiss:

i wrote a poem and designed a card for one beautiful woman.
and sent two dozen roses to another.:heart::heart:

She got the night off tonight (though she takes it off every night), there's a dozen roses on the table in a vase, her favorite chocolates spread around teh table, and a batch of heart shaped hand made cookies, frosted and decorated.

The dishes are done, the kitchen cleaned, the laundry run.

Thats It I'm worn out and not feeling too hopeful about things.

I already posted this in another valentine's thread but think its funny so posting it here too:

valentines day

Bunch of Flowers £20

Dinner and a Movie £80

Hotel Room afterwards £200

The look on his face when she says she's on her period FUCKING PRICELESS!!

ps- I got a little bag of praline chocolates (he knows me way too well - yum) and a lovely card - very personal.

Tonight we're having fish and chips for dinner :D I'm gonna be soooooooooooooo fat
