Some not so good news....they tried unblocking Gil's fistula this morning but it seems that it was unsuccessful, so they will have to think of something else. Whether they go in and have another go, or do something else entirely, remains to be seen.

He is not doing well. It is a big disappointment to us both. :( :(

{{{{{{{{Bandit}}}}}}}}}  I am so sorry to hear that. You are both in my thoughts and prayers.

A bit better news - Gil is coming home after dialysis this afternoon :) Probably pending the decision on what to do next

He will probably have to continue having dialysis at the hospital in the meantime because the vascath carries a higher risk of infection. So back to traipsing back and forth three times a week

Well, that's good news, if not the best news - at least he's not having to stay at the hospital. Hoping the docs get things flowing again soon!

And on a separate note: Sexpo dates are up!

Time to book some holidays, methinks...

Good to hear he's better babe ... please give him a  from Roz and here's one for you from me

Hoping and praying the doctors come up with a better solution for the two of you. At least where things are right now he doesn't have to stay in the hospital 24/7.

Leaving lots of prayers. :rose:

Well I'm home with BANDIT:heart: but thats about it for good news, I feel like shit because of the worry all this causes BANDIT:heart:
Major loss of faith in the health system & the surgeon as the guy in the bed opposite also had the same problem & his failed as well.
Monday I was taken down to have the vascath put in (one end into a vein & other into top of the heart), was put on the bench which did nothing for my back pain or stress but got left there for 2 fucking hours because the doc who was to do the vascath got called to a meeting because he bothered to complain about the rain water leaking through the roof, he got dragged over the coals for complaining  what the fuck !!!!! it's a place that is meant to be sterile because of procedures carried out there it's not a shed or the like !!!!
Because of my heath I have to deal & the problems with my fistula I had to deal with surgical docs, renal docs, renal surgical docs, diabetic docs & ward docs all of whom had trouble letting any one know what they had planned, it wasn't a doc who told me I was going home but the nursing staff.:mad::mad::mad:

Thanks for that info, note that they waited till I was in hospital before posting the dates.

As with all SEXPO shows there is a chance for free tickets to first day, here is the link to Brissy free tickets.

Geez - sounds like the place could do with a nice loud whistle being blown to the media... was the roof leak in an operating theatre? And pulling the doc away from a procedure for this?

And yes, the docs are very good at not telling people things they want (or even NEED) to know - they can't keep up the air of importance if they tell people everything, now can they? (/sarcasm)

Given that it's a weekend, you know what you have to do now? RELAX... I'm sure Bandit can help you with that ;)

Great to see you out, Gil! It must be such a releif for both you and Bandit.
As for you feeling bad because you're making Bandit worry - DON'T! Worry takes a lot of energy out of you and is much better spent trying to get better and simply loving Bandit.
As for the chaotic hospital - yuck! Even better reason to be home in your own bed!!

I'm taking my boy to Aqua (Underwater World) as a surprise tomorrow. A couple of weeks ago he was talking about how he used to be obsessed with sharks and that we should go Sucba diving (coz we both have our tickets). Anyway, he's been pretty down lately - and tired too - so I thought this was a good fun day out and I can make sure he's in bed and asleep early. :D
I hope everyone is having a great weekend.
:rose:

I'm glad you're out of the Hospital mate...at least being home with Bandit means you're with the one who loves you the most.
Hope you get better soon brother

*hugs* & :kiss:s to you both....I am so glad you are home.
It's much easier to rest there with Bandit and I'm sure the food has to be better.
Do they have any sort of federal way to complain? If not the media things sounds effective!
