I just voted in the democratic cacus

in my state the primaries don't really count
the caucus does!

I marched right in, was the only voter there, stuck my finger in the air, voted for Mit, he drops out the next day, voted against two tax referendums, both passed, voted for 5 uncontested candidates...hence my malaise.

12 votes hilary
& 19 votes obama in my prescient
it's gonna be close!

Interesting. I have to say, I didn't like the whole caucus thing originally, but I'm starting to see the benefits of it. I would imagine there is a lot of conversation going on?

it was A LOT of debating
people trying to swing votes and speak the wonders of their candidates
2 people were kucinitch and we managed to get one of them hilary & one obama

other then that everyone stayed with their favorite

See, that whole process is fascinating to me. I would love to participate in one, or see it in action.

how was your primary?

Crappy. It was in a school library with paper ballots. Since I'm an Independent, there was some issues whether I could vote in the Democratic primary. Then, went I went to sign, it said that I had mailed my vote in, which I hadn't (I even showed the poll worker the packet I had received, which still had my mail-in voter registration card in it, which proves I didn't mail anything in). It took me 20 minutes of stubbornness to cast my vote.

lol

There were actually quite a few issues in California with Independents at polling places. I'm surprised it didn't get more coverage.

awwww sad
i'm absentee
i'm just mailing it in

I can see how the caucus thing could be fun, but I can also see how it could be manipulated.

Voting just isn't fun here in Oregon. They mail us our ballots. I'd like to caucus. I guess I could move across the Columbia...

It there is the same process for November, I'll be mailing mine in early. I'll be damned if I'm going to wait in that long-ass line again.

I don't mind the paper ballots . . . I like the paper trail . . . but it slows down the process a great deal.

Its good to see folk participating.

I got to vote on Super Tuesday.
There was a college kid there and I was interviewed for a project for one of his classes.

I have a feeling the actual election is gonna be really ugly and really close.

good on ya

I was wanting to go to but I got stranded due to avalance closures. I think it's great that you're taking an interest in politics and getting involved. Obama gave you cookies? Hope you got a picture.

As a cookie connoisseur I'd like to know what type of cookie you got from our future leader.
