The negative coverage of Bill Clinton over the past couple of weeks seems to have hurt his standing with the public. A new survey finds that fewer voters these days like the idea of the former president being back in the White House

Which is funny, because over the past week, I've been advocating his return for the good of the Republican Party!

I disagree with the conclusion drawn. Rather than fewer people actually supporting Clinton - or saying that fewer people like Bill Clinton now - I think it is more that people see Obama as more appealing. Something new, something different. The same people who answered this would probably praise the Clinton years and be upset with the Bush years - they just see that Clinton was the past and Obama is the future. And right now they want the future - something new, less status quo, etc.
