Hello, I'm sort of new here. I finally took the plunge and posted to a tread. Now my question is do I answer every single reply? I'm new at chating and PMing. I don't want to be rude. I just wanted to find someone to talk to. And I did. So now what?

I take it you posted a thread asking for people to chat with? I'd suggest posting another reply to your thread stating that you are no longer looking for messages. You might try to repsond back to PM, but I think the 'no more' post would help in the meantime.

There's nothing wrong with or in any thing you have done (that I know of ) and we were all new to this at one point or another so you are amongest those who understand. That's really what I meant by my post - just not as articulate as RawHumor. Most people on Lit are interested in the quick porn fix. Some of us are a bit more discerning (or is it gluttonous?) and look for a bit more. Sounds like you already found someone like that and you just need a quick 'no thanks' for the other PMs.
