Just 'cause I'm really proud of myself, here's a pic of a blanket and bootees I crocheted for my nephew. Those are my first pieces ever.

omg! i am jealous! those are the cutest things i have ever seen in my life! baby stuff is so cute. :) you're very talented.

Those are beautiful. I haven't crocheted since I was a teen, but in the last few months I've been considering taking it up again.

Really well done DB! I knit (mostly socks), and am very impressed with the finishing on these items. They look very professional. *applauds*

I knit, too, and I'm incredibly impressed!

(I can do basic crochet, but nothing that good!)

Your first pieces ever? Those look amazing! I think I'd be really jealous right now if I didn't secretly admire you...

All I've ever managed to crochet was a potholder. It was supposed to be a square, but the result was more like a roundish triangle than anything. I don't know how that happened...no one can screw up a square potholder! Then again, I just screwed up pancakes yesterday... I don't know how that happened either.

Those are adorable. I crochet and knit as well, self taught. I love the color too

Those are so lovely.

All baby things are cute, sweet extra but the attention to detail adn how well the bootees stand shows how good you are.

I have no creative talent and I am always in awe of those who have

Very adorable DB.

I have been crocheting for 20+ years and even teach it and I must say that for someone who says these are her first ever pieces, you did a most excellent job :D

Aw, those were so cute! I tried to learn how to knit once but could never stick with it. If you make more, please show us!

Very nice!!!! I want to learn to crochet better so bad, but so far all I can manage is a badly mangled excuse of a scarf.

Ma'am crocheted me a gorgeous afghan for christmas...it's one of my favourite gifts I've ever gotten. Your nephew will treasure that for life :)

Thanks all for the nice compliments. I'm really proud of my work, but I was even more pleased by my sister's reaction when she saw what I had done for her son.

Thanks Sinn for the tip -- next time I make a set like this, I'll include more ribbons. It's a great idea.

Lovely work, DB!

That stuff is so beyond me. "v" does all sorts of things with yarn, and I can't even tell which one she is doing at a given time.
