You know, I've been thinking about this year's gathering, and of course, next year's meet . . .

I think next year, 2009, we should just plan for a Thurs, Fri, Sat event. There are probably ten rooms reserved for Thursday night this time out - this thing is growing exponentially. Makes sense to open up the convention to a few more planned days, don't you think?

That would work! I know I won't get in until late evening ... that's why I thought it would be easier to come in late Thursday vs. late Friday. That way I won't miss any of the festivities!

Not certain yet. Probably the rooms, although there is a decent hotel lounge. But damn, I sure need to be in Chicago.

Had an interesting family gathering yesterday, my own sister didn't show (for my birthday - hmm) and now I'm seriously needing to be drunk and be among people who love me.

Is it too early for rum? On a Sunday? Well, it is Super Bowl Sunday, after all.

I wonder if the manager would give you a list of all of our room numbers when you check in Thursday? We wouldn't know the one's checking in until Friday, but it'd be kind of neat to already have the door hangers on the doors when they arrived?

But maybe they'll let us know.

They usually don't assign room numbers until the day of check-in. Can probably ask upon your arrival ... if you have all of the booking numbers, I don't see why they wouldn't give them to you ... especially if you talk to the manager ahead of time and let him know you'd like the list.
