Term used to describe the malicious act of hijacking an engaged Web session with a remote service by intercepting and using the credentials that identified the user/victim to that specific server. Typically, SideJacking is most common on sites that require authentication through a username and password, such as online Web mail accounts as well as social networking sites. SideJacking works only if the site catches a non-SSL cookie, so any Web site that uses SSL exclusively would be safe from SideJackers. SideJacking was first demonstrated by Robert Graham, CEO of Errata Security at Black Hat in 2007

It is very simiply down with certain code and programs. We have worked on similar programs like Ferret or Hampster.

So beware :)

scary
i don't do the starbucks, but plenty other, meaning good, coffee shops

well basically anyplace that you have dlink or similiar. Basically people just sit back and scan the frequencies.Lol my hacking friend has a little device that he can drive down the road and open and close peoples garage doors. It just scans the frequencies almost like a universal tv remote.

I posted a video sometime ago that showed how to hack into car remotes.

See where you can tune the rf frequecy of a car remote to make poker machine pay out. It just works on the frequency of either a Z80 or 8080 chip..

Slot machines work on Radio Frequencies?

Ever notice when you walk in to casinos it says please turn your cellphones off..at least a few years back? Thos were mainly Em series machines. (Electro Mechanical) well most of those ran on that chip...and a cell runs at 800Mhz range..now when you fine tune a frequency..well you know

I have never been inside a CASINO.

As in AM stations?

Oh God!

I am soooo sorry I know what a Z80 and 8088 chip are.

I really am that old. And that nerdy.

Yikes!

They are microprocessor chips from the very early 80s and the precursors to the PC chips.

So sad.

now that is a wide band :)

I don't know any of the specifics. I'm trying to place what seems logical and match it with the appoximate timeframe (beginning) of electronic poker machines. And whatever technology was in widespread usage in computer chips that may coincide with it.

Exactly..and most poker machines basically the ones in the taverns still use that technology...lol

Psst. It's 8080.;)

I know that the 8 track came before the cassette, but I ain't old.:)

So, it's mainly the independents or the ones that don't use the lates technology as the security minded ones in Vegas or Atlantic City do right?

They are still perfectly well suited for the minimal computing power required for such simple devices. All flashing, whiz bang graphics aside, they ARE simple machines.

You are correct. I am very tired for this early hour of the day.

Thats not something I do but I do know alot of people that do that. Not good.

I'm just an electronic nerd :)

Starbucks charges money for their wireless but a lot of these Wi Fi hot spots I wouldn't trust, especially in big cities. I don't want to be cleaned out by some Ukranian for their purchases of bling and FuBU (true story of a friend of mine). Crazy shit!

yeah the 8080 chip..8088 came out before the 286...lol

typo...sorry mred :)
