This thread is my request for assistance thread, for stuff, important stuff, that we,
as a Community can consensually do, to enhance our Library .

Issue 1

It's becoming an ongoing source of some frustration for me to find amazing threads in the Archives that are missing significant chunks of text because links have become invalid. Particularly so when the link itself is a part of the opening post that initiates the discussion that follows. This has become painfully evident particularly in the genre of News Articles. Many online News Services have a cut off point for story archiving. Thankfully with some we have been very lucky.

I would like to respectfully request that where possible could members of the Board consider cutting and pasting the body of text into their posts as well as links directing to and crediting the source.

It's really up to you to employ this or not, it's purely a suggestion that may enhance threads archived in the future for ongoing reference.

Leather fundraiser combines cookies, BDSM

When you’re producing an event that is by nature outside the box, it’s important to be creative. So when the organizers of the Southeast Leather Fest decided to have a bake sale fundraiser in Atlanta, they made sure their offerings were distinct from the goodies found at something hosted by, say, a PTA.

“Certain people will bring cakes and desserts, but most people are offering scenes and baskets,” says Catherine Gross, one of the organizers of SELF. Formerly known as “Sweet Toppings,” the “SELF Indulgence” event is one of two fundraisers for the annual Southeast Leather Fest, which takes place each June and brings together gay and straight leather/BDSM enthusiasts.

Some 150 people are expected to attend “SELF Indulgence,” where they can bid on about a half-dozen “scenes” ranging from mild massages from Willow Rain, to piercings administered by Gross and her “co-top,” Nic.

There’s also a threesome scene up for bidders to join master Archer in ordering around his slave, Elegant — both of whom are well known in Atlanta’s leather scene. And in an inversion of standard slave sell-offs, the “SELF Indulgence” auction block also features overseers like Master Gowain, who unleash sadistic punishment on the highest bidder.

Attendees can purchase an adorable package offered by “Q” that combines an erotic boot-blacking session with a delicious, homemade red velvet cake, or have portraits taken in full fetish gear by photographer Matthew CaryAnd sure to be one of the most popular goodies at the “SELF Indulgence” bake sale is “Chocolate Chad,” a gorgeous hunk who will be covered in chocolate, marshmallow and other delectable treats.

“Patrons can lick off the chocolate — it’s the human dessert tray,” says Gross, who notes that the price of the tasting depends on which part of the body the chocolate is located.

I was thinking that there have undoubtedly been numerous threads that had to do with fellatio in general - techniques, people who love it and want to talk about it, stuff like that. I bet there's just a bunch. So could I ask if there's a particularly good thread on this topic that deserves to be revived?

My humble thanks. Yes, I sorta wandered through some of the links to try to find some things for myself, cause some of my best friends are librarians and I don't like to annoy them. There were just soooooo many... thought there might be a Librarian's Personal Favorite or a Most Popular or something.

*abject obeisance* I have been a librarian myself, but it was back when we had those "book" things and people came in and borrowed them. Crazy, I know.
