Any tried and true tips on increasing feedback? I mean feedback of the most constructive kind, not the kind one gets in LW.

Lower expectations? When push comes to shove, I just look at the views number and compare that to the numbers garnered on other sites (or the sales statistics from my mainline works)--and that's usually enough to satisfy me.

I've noticed that some authors leave a note on the end of their submission asking for readers' opinions, asking whether it was a believable that a character would react in the way you've written, suggestions on where the story should go next, etc. Worth a try!

I sank to that point once. It worked, sort of. But then were the responses real, or just pity-posts? I thought repeatedly of editng the story and removing the pathetic notes, but haven't yet. I'm sure it'll amuse sr <LOL>

of feedback are you seeking? Constructive, useful criticism of the writing is very hard to come by. If you want the name of a site that will do that for you PM me. If you just want to generate messages or controversy, personal attacks, or vitriolic abuse, just pick a story topic that sets the Trolls off. Examples would be rape, loving wives, and others that you can read about on the boards here.
