 I saw it. I did! It was one of those 501 jean commercials where the guy pulls up his jeans and as he does so breaks through into street corner with a phone booth and a taxi. Now I know there is a heterosexual version of this. But what I didn't know is there is a gay version as well using the same dark-haired sexy guy. And no, it wasn't shown on the gay network. It was shown on Bravo, perhaps not surprisingly during Project Runway.

A sexy guy pulls up his jeans, and the phone booth bursts through his floor. I blinked as I saw, within the phone booth, another sexy guy on the phone. The guy lowers his pants for a moment, the phone booth goes away. At his point, I thought to myself, "I must have seen it wrong. Maybe it was an androgynous girl in the phone booth? I'm pretty sure that's how the commercial goes...."

Our sexy hero grins, pulls his jeans all the way up and the whole street corner breaks into his apartment--which transforms into said street corner. And sure enough, out of the phone booth walks another guy to join him! I have to applaud 501 jeans. They made two versions of the commercial, one for straights, one for gay men (either that or they're suggesting that our dark-haired hero is bi?). Now I wondering if there'll be (is?) a third for lesbians?

Interesting pair of commercials. think the girl does a better job of filling out her jeans than anybody else does, but I am prejudiced towaqrd sexy brunette women. :)

Hmmmm. Now that I think about it....

Years before Queer Eye, I would channel surf past Bravo, and it seemed like every time I flipped to it there was something vaguely homoerotic being shown.

So when Queer Eye was first introduced, it struck me as perfectly natural.
