This thread makes me really wish rope bondage made me hot. It's so pretty, but alas, I like the patience, either as tie-er or tie-ee.

Well, there is a learning curve that is honestly in excess of most other BDSM skills, so I can certainly see an issue with patience and that. But, insofar as tying goes, a little bit of knowledge goes a long way. The hair tie took about 2-3 times as long to tie as the corset did. The modified frog tie was done in less than ten minutes. Probably closer to five, really.

If I have an idea of what I want to tie, and my area is properly set (ropes at hand, bottom is cooperative, proper room, etc), my ties go quick. If I'm sort of screwing about with the rope, it takes longer. But the basic, useful stuff is quick. A french bowline makes a better cuff than anything leather, and takes seconds to tie.

*shrug* TH is as hyper and bouncey as anyone I know. The girl is constantly moving. If she can't walk around or dance or something, she bounces in place. Ropes hit, and she's placid. It's honestly the only time I've seen her that still.

As to body issues, well, that's where the rope top decides whether to restrain, or accentuate (or both). It is possible to dress the body with rope and not call attention to problem areas.

A certain someone that is very, very dear to me sent me a gift card to Home Depot for Christmas. A lovely present, as I shop at Home Depot and Lowes and such quite often. I went in today and bought... tools!

No, I'm just kidding. You know I bought rope! Three lengths of 1/4" solid braid (my favourite synthetic, as is probably obvious), 30' in length. While it's not my normal rope kit, I'm finding more and more that 30' lengths are dead handy.

And I'm thinking these ropes need to be dyed. I'm looking at purple, in no small part because I think purple would suit this certain someone. Maybe someday we'll have a chance to test out the colour.

Boil it with Rit Dye packets. And I will post pics if they come out well. The rope available these days is a nylon poly belnd, and may not take the dye nicely. We'll see.

i just did a tie that i beleive would make our resident rope expert proud. its a chest harness done in hemp with some adaptions that i made for asthetics. i took the idea from the straps he did on WG's corset and went from there. it looks amazing. i took some pictures and am sending them to A. its too bad that i cant share any here.

ETA when i took off the rope i saw that the rope took to my skin very well and left very prounounced rope marks.
