I have called my daughters a bitch before - right after they called ME a bitch and said they hated me. We would scream for a few more minutes and then it would be over. Later we would laugh about it. Sometimes you just gotta vent.

I don't think they ever did. I had a pair of gentle, but very firm parents. My mother and father were a seamless unit of parenting. I don't recall ever hearing them argue or raise their voice to each other. They were not shy about raisihng their voice to me when it was warranted. I think I always stopped short of being called a bastard, but the word was in my father's vocabulary.

I also don't think this has anything to do with parenting skills.

I am just puzzled why you would throw up a thread when you knew it would look like another bitter slap at dolf.

I know it may be hard to believe, but there have been some women in my life, who after getting to know me, decided I wasn't that great a deal and moved on. It stung, but I got over it. At some point few days or weeks later, I just asked myself, what does she have that's worth this pain? Then I moved on.

I suppose I am fortunate never to have met one so good I couldn't get over her.
