...Speaking of being hot, I'm rather stinky-poopy-hot at the moment. It's 41 apparently (according to the bom) and I'm painting my house! Ugh! I don't know why I always manage to pick days like this to spend hours around stinky chemicals! 
Still, it's looking good! After I finish this bit today, I'll only have another days worth of painting to go! I've painted the entire house - inside and out. It's such a nice feeling.

Actually no...so I guess we need to form our own club...for those down trodden who didn't have the type of festive season they thought they were going to have. I've spent most of my holidays so far going to medical appointments and visiting medical places I've never been to before. Feeling very much like a child going to a new school. I'm still a little alarmed at the miscommunication or lack of it from the medical fraternity...I'm sure they know what they mean...I just wish I would get let in on the info from time to time afterall I'm the one with the issue.
And so this is 2008....3 days in and I'm not feeling it...although I am experiencing new things...I wonder if that is it...new doesn't necessarily come with a "good" toe tag attached. And forget about the glass empty / full thing, someone stole mine.

Ah yes painting! I'm planning to do some of that now that my shoulder is feel better. I was just deciding on colours today. Athough I would have to agree that being 'stinky poopy' is not conducive to the whole painting experience. Plus the paint just doesn't go on right. Much better to be viewing the cricket with a cold drink.

Cricket? Hell no! I'm pick painting over watching cricket ANY day!
I'm using oil-based paint...for the trim/windows, so it wasn't too bad. Actually, exterior paint is always quite flexible, so it usually looks okay (as long as it doesn't bubble! I'm painting the eastern side/front of the house, so it is shaded in the arvo anyway. It was much harder painting the back because of the afternoon sun issue.) It's imporrible to paint outside when it's windy...hot is just annoying. Last day of painting will be tomorrow - thank goodness! Then I can get back to making time for my new hobbies - I have booked my first singing lesson
and my boy has offered for me to take a stone carving class with him. I think that sound like great fun!Oh dear..... what with you and Chunu as well now, this is going to be a strain.
I'm not sure that the newly healed shoulder will be able to take the strain.
...but damn it, I will give it my best shot!

don't like bourbon and shoe sale can't be bothered but I'm here Been flat out with speedway ever since Boxing Day - there's been a meeting every 3 days and supposed to be 2 days this weekend (Fri/Sat) but it was washed out last night so we get to try again tonight
Hope it's not late because I have to be up at 6.30 tomorrow to set up dialysis machine so we can take fasting blood tests for Gil's renal appointment tomorrow afternoon, when I also have a gym training session Collapse into bed early Monday!
