Secret Santa Opening Thread!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank EL for managing the SS this year. A wonderful job. :kiss:

I sincerely pray that everyone enjoyed the experience of Christmas this year as much as I did. If you did, it was a marvelous celebration of the birth of our Savior.

Now all I have to do is put away 10 tons of decorations, including fifteen nativity scenes of various sizes. Or maybe I'll just leave them out until next year. Yeah.
 
I must whoeheartedly agree! It's been wonderful hearing about everything and the getting and giving and it's all thanks to EL! *snuggles!*
 
I must mention that i have never made a scrap book before, but i imagine its similar to 'altered books' which is something i did for my AS art exam. So far im having muchos fun with what mils gave me though, with a title page and a huge 'pocket' on the second page which make Misty Page number 1 (of many i see in the future) and another page, and an inside cover.

i know what i want to do for my outside covers- both of them, but i dont know when i'll get the chance.

but i just wanted to say thanks to Mils again, and thanks to EL for organising it all. And also thanks to everyone else for making it exciting too :D
 
I heartily add my thanks to EL's powers of organisation and persuasion.
If not for the AH my sack would'be been pretty bare.

I know it doesnt quite count as a secret santa but i got a lovely thoughtful present from Chants today <3 it's a gorgeous chocolate-brown suede-feel Photo Album for my photo's. And a gorgeous little christmas card with the cutest kitty on it :D and what looks like a book mark with some chinese stamps on the back- Chants, what do they mean?

This Christmas has definately been one my bests.

Just an update ^^

me and ct haven't recieved our prezzies yet, which is okay : )

but, we did get a Wii- yay!!!!
 
And I recieved a lovely little Tiger's-eye lucky charm from... someone. ;) (Thank you, lady_Reiha, and CT)

I also have the impression that someone never received their hand-painted Ducky teeshirt, did they?

I'm so glad you guys got your charms- I worked very hard on them ( yeppers- they are handmade)

well okay, the Tiger's eye was bought, but I polished it and made it into a charm ^^

JL's was a little harder, and I was a little upset that I made a mistake ( I cut into the metal, and half the snowflake's missing- gah!)

we would of gotten you both better presents, but we are both super poor! I'm so sorry!!! I feel bad now >.<"

and what ducky tee shirt? There's a ducky tee? O_O!

Its better cut out! I love it, its on my purse (I'd put it on my phone but the camera is v.delicate and its gets battered enough in my pocket).

I'm kinda upset the gift hasn't arrived yet, its saying delivered on Amazon for some reason! But that was based on their estimate so I'll poke them and see what I can find out.

I will try to get over to the UPS Store from where I sent it and begin tracking things down, but I'm the only adult in the house until Tuesday so it may be a few more days before I can get things rolling. (If I find my damn receipt, I can begin earlier since the tracking information is on that. I knew I should've asked about delays in mail across the border. *sigh*)

Don't you dare feel bad!
I've been super-poor for years, and I just avoided giving gifts at all if I couldn't make them, it's taking me a while to learn to be generous again-- I will treasure the tiger's eye, and in truth, it's brilliantly chatoyant. My daughter has already made hints that she'd like me to give it to her. (good luck with that, baby)

And there's a ducky tee, lost en route to the U.K., I guess. :(

:kiss::rose::heart: One of the symbols on your bookmark means friends and the other symbol means grace. I don't remember the order that I stamped them.
