So, What Did Santa Bring Yuh?

I got an old Lee Van Cleef western DVD I wanted, and several books.

UTOPIAS ELSEWHERE by Anthony Daniels is my favorite book. His daddy was a commie, and took Tony all over the world to cool places like Cuba and Albania and North Korea, and let Tony see how Workers Paradise is. And Tony kept a record of what he experienced. Not much of it flatters socialism.

Tony also worked as an MD in Africa, before and after Colonialism departed. His comments do not flatter the liberators.

I received a bill from the accountant and my semi-annual bill from the tax man:eek::eek::eek:

*burp*

A new maple computer desk...

As is traditional the girlfriend's family gave me a bunch of bathroom necessities, some work clothes, and books.

My last one should be a gift card to Barnes & Nobles

---> I have to celebrate christmas early because the GF visits with family.

How do you guys get anything yet? Christmas isn't for two more days.

Timing and perishables ;)

My best friend and 'kid sister' got me a ninth-row seat to Trans-Siberian Orchestra, playing tomorrow afternoon. :D

My Lady sent me some chocolate that had to be opened right away. What a shame. :p But the other gift I have to open on Christmas.

Two cases of Bud Lite, from a neighbor I hardly know because I looked up a cheat code on line for his ps2 Eternal Ring game...go figure...took me about a minute, sighs...I thanked him profusely.

Santa doesn't exist. If he did though, I'd probably get a textbook. Darn things are so expensive. ;_;

Bud Lite?

Damn, ami, I thought you were more refined than that . . . :p

Filter it back through the horse it came from.

Ye gads, I'm such a beer snob. ;)

It seems I must always be 'engarde', on this forum...grins...

happy holidays...

ami...

Due to my old (very) monitor dying, I've already gotten my Christmas present: a 24" Samsung LCD WideScreen. I'm in love. :D

Rumple Foreskin

Ah, congrats, rumple. I want one too...sighs...

ami...
Ami, it's been a long time since a piece of hardware "wow'ed" me. This monitor is still doing that. Don't try to justify the expense; just raise the dough and then enjoy.

Rumple Foreskin

A 120GB hard drive to replace the 40BG drive in my laptop. And EZ Upgrade to make copying from old to new a breeze. The rest will have to wait until Tuesday. Oh, and I'm in need of and looking at 'pre-owned' cars - I may go with a BMW because I've always wanted one, I'm old and and have worked hard, sort of...

Maybe I can pop for a 20" monitor next month, this big ole monitor now, is bulky and I do feel ancient...sighs...can't damn well keep up anymore...

cheers...

ami...

Hope you can score your, 'beamer' Jomar, happy holidays...

ami...

Santa likes me, is why I get my presents early. He saves the shit for last, and liberal cry-baby freaks.

I think I will, just a matter of time. And the best part is since I own a small business and have the cushion, I decided to pay myself a car allowance. Happy Holidays, Ami.

You crack me up. Happy Holidays to you too, JBJ.

Lets see, what did I get this year?

So far I have received a stainless steel ashtray. (A very usefull gift for me with the number of playfull cats I have, not to mention my love of a good cigar.)

A box of 50 nice Cuban Mini Cigars from a friend of a devious nature.

A case of Jose from a neighbor I did a favor for last summer.

A box filled with home made Empenadas from a very good friend who makes as much as I do.

Things I know are coming in the near future.

A 37 inch HD TV from a guy I did a major favor for a couple of weeks ago. (He's replacing his TV with another one and thought of me. Hey he can afford it believe me.)

A nice new Multi-Meter to replace my old one that got slagged. (I was kind of upset that my wife would spend this much for a tool for me but she wanted to and I know I'll put it to good use. Besides her hearts in the right place and I'm hard to get gifts for.)

New clothes from my mother. Always welcome as she gets good quality and I go through clothes like you wouldn't believe.

A box filled with antique wood working tools.

A cooler filled with well over 100 pounds of Venison.

A Christmas Dinner I'm not making.

My wife has informed me that we will be checking out a bike on the day after Christmas.

There could be no gifts for me under the tree though and it would still be a great Christmas. You see on Christmas morning I will once again wake up next to my wife. Anything more than that is icing on the cake.

More goodies.

Two books for my Florida Collection:

An eyewitness account of the 1926 & 1928 hurricanes that destroyed the towns around Lake Okeechobee (one old girl was floating along on a mattress, struck a match, and discovered she had some companions on her mattress refuge...snakes...ewwwww). Another short vignette involved a large alligator and a man. The man came to aside a very large alligator, but the gator was as whipped as the man, and man and gator elected to leave sleeping dogs lie in the present event.

The other book is a compilation of law officers killed in Florida from 1825-1925.
