Only in Rhode Island:

Dancing Cop

:D Believe it or not, he's something of a local celebrity. He's retired now but he comes back every year to direct traffic downtown for a few weeks around the holidays.

(Sorry, you have to sit through a commercial first. :( )

How fun! Thanks for sharing, CD!

Folks in the East seem to have all the fun. If a policeman tried to do that in the South, I think they'd either run him down or have him committed for playing in the traffic.

I had seen a news report on this guy years ago. Glad to see he's still at it.

That's because we're all nuts, we get all cooped up in the winter and let loose when it's not winter as we end up with excess energy. But I'll stick with the insanity idea, it tends to work well, lol.

LOLOL, Mrs ....... well, here in the South, we don't mind putting our insane on display, say on the front porch, as long as they don't hurt themselves or people passing by the house. ;) But this guy? Nah, we've got a rep to uphold -- we'd lock him up.

"Excess energy", huh? So that explains your present (blessed) condition. :D :rose:

*joking*

DIVA

There are no insane in The South; a few of us are simply a mite peculiar.

*arching eyebrow* Well, Jimmy, there's "peculiar" then there's "peculiar with extra talents". With due respect, I'd almost be afraid to know which category you'd fall in.
