It's Friday night. In days gone by, I'd have been off to services by now, but I'm not practicing any more. But the old rhythms haven't faded and I can feel the return of the Light coming and what it's going to mean. (No, I'm not trying to be profound and Deeply Meaningful; this is just where I am tonight.)

I am off work for the next week and a half. Hippety-gawdamn-HOP! There will be sleeping late, drinks in the evening, and a lot of honey-dos that have been stacking up that I'd love to get done.

I want to share the following with you all. It comes from Cece, a friend of mine in Tucson. It's a good thought for this Solstice, when it's been a very hard year for many of us.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely
in an attractive and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand,
wine in the other, body thoroughly used up,
totally worn out and screaming
"WOO HOO what a ride!"

May the return of the Light chase all the dark shadows from your life. And may we all be alive and healthy to celebrate the return of the Light next year again!

Hugs to you all!

John

What a beautiful sentiment.

Blessings to you, john.

Thank you, Divulgence.
