Speaking as an older man with a younger partner my personal take is that, with some exceptions, men when younger are generally interested in their own personal pleasures with limited emotional experience to satify the partner.

There's a certain amount of "getting it" that only comes with experience or age. And experience for the most part seems to be synonymous with age.
