Please help  Iwant to take pics of myself and then post them with a new thread. I use an imac with OS9.2 suggestions and tips greatly appreciated. I am a male lingerie crossdresser wishing to get pics of me in panties online thru a thread on this site. Also any replies from other CD's welcomed. :)

You really need a camera, as well as a computer.

Is the problem taking the pictures or uploadng them?

To take the pictures, you need a webcam, digital camera, or scanner that is compatible with your iMac. I don't know much about iMacs, but most USB devices should work with your system -- just check the box for system requirements to make sure there are drivers and progrms in iMac format included.

To upload the pictures, just click onthe manage attachements, the browse button, the image file, and the upload button.

The image file should be in JPeG format and the attachment function expects it to have the .JPG file extension even though Macs don't necessarily require it. (GIF format is also acceptable, but only permits 256 colors.)

The image can't be bigger than 800 pixels wide, 600 pixels tall, or 100KB. If your camera takes bigger images, you need to change the camera mode and retake thepictures or resize the images. Adobe Photoshop seems to be the best program for resizing pictures on a Mac, but almost any program that can edit an image can be used to resize it; you just have to figure out how.

If it's a problem with copying the pictures to your mac, you may want to check out a Mac-specific forum, my favourite is a Canadian site called Ehmac.ca (though us Canadians are generally tolerant, it might be a good idea to avoid mentioning what you're planning to use the cam for :) ).

Unfortunately I don't know anything about OS 9, so my only advice would be to upgrade to OS X.

Using a mac myself...

This image (below) is of the "Manage Attachment" guide for loading photos into your posts. It is for photos that are located in your computer. All three Maximums (File size, Width, Height) must be met.

If you have Color Sync Utility . app installed on your Mac, you can use it to reduce the measurements of your photos, and then use your "Get info" clicker on the right click to check the File size of each photo. It takes a little practice, but you'll get it pretty soon.

Other than that, just follow the forms that are presented each step of the way, starting with clicking on the "Manage Attachments" button in the "Reply to Thread" box below where you have typed in your previous posts.

Give it a few shots, and if you can't do it, then PM me with the specific problem that you're having.

If you don't have the Color Sync Utility.app, than I don't know what to tell you. That's about the only reliable method I know for re-sizing photos. I know there are plenty of others, but I don't use any others.

I hope this helps. Good luck, and feel free to PM me,

Rags

He's using an old OS because this thread is from 2005.

You seem like the right person to ask this...

Do you know how to get sharper hierogliphics on stone tablets? I'm using the latest granite and have upgraded to a sharper chisel. Someone suggested a heftier leg bone for wacking the chisel, but I want be sure before trapping and clubbing a large mammal.
