GIRLS... favorite cologne?

Girls, please help me know what cologne's are the most seductive. Single, here and w/four boyz to take care of need all the help I can get. HM

Hotmale, you said you have four boys to take care of. Are you asking about cologne for the benefit of your sons?

I like most men's colognes I've smelled. I'm not in the dating scene, so I don't have a lot of contact with different men and their chosen scents. The only turn off I can think of is Old Spice. That would make me think of my grandfather. Don't go with something cheap from the drug store. Get some quality stuff. I think the use of cologne by men signals that they have good hygiene, which sounds silly, but is important. No girl wants to have sex with a guy who has poor hygiene.

Oh I so agree with you whispersecret. Hygiene is so underrated these days!! It's so important. And I agree with you. A man wearing cologne (not so much that one fears he must have bathed in it) just gives the impression that he takes care of himself and showers habitually.

As for my favourites, Cool Water by Davidoff, CK1 by Calvin Klein, practically anything clean smelling. And yes, discard any Old Spice or Aqua Velva or anything old and grandfather like. No no no!

I am not much for cologne. Don't get me wrong, I love how it smells on a person. Oh no, this is going to sound dangerously stupid....anyways....I dated this guy in high school who wore the cologne I liked, which, incidentally I can't even remember the name of it now....and one time when we were getting intimate, I licked him and the taste was horrendous. I will NEVER forget that taste.

At any rate, I love how men smell after they shower, with the soap smell and all.

Thanx all, Whispersecret... for me, not my boys. I'm the one who needs all the help I can attracting girls, cause soo busy taking care of my boys my dating is limited, soo want to make sure every date counts. Anyway, I have a few favorites that girls seem to compliment me on. But, you know what they say, variety is the spice of life. Getting low, and ready for a change. Any other favorites girls, please keep me posted. Thanx HotMale

You are going to have to go with trial and error. The right scent is an individual thing. Depending on your "natural" scent, some things will smell good on you and some won't.

I personally have a heavy personal scent (or so I've been told) that means that the stronger colognes don't work well on me.

By a combination of my own tastes and input from ladies in my life, I have found a group that work for me. Sometimes I wear one on a daily basis for awhile, and then other times I switch around depending on my mood. This list has worked for me, but you have to try them yourself and then go with your own "guts" and reactions from women you trust.

Halston 1-12
Tommy
Nautica
Cool Water
Baron - haven't been able to find this lately
Claiborne for men

I also agree with some earlier statements, too much of a good thing is bad. I personally think that a woman should only be able to smell me if she is within my personal space. Therefore I apply the cologne to the pulse points that keep it activated within that range. I.E. center of chest, insides of my wrists and upper thigh. So go to the mall and get samples and try them out, when you get alot of compliments - then go buy a bottle.

Cool water.. *whimper* Yummy. The khakis of scents.

My best friend in my junior year of high school was the best-smelling guy I've ever met in my LIFE. Someone should bottle his pheremones, seriously.. He never wore cologne, he just had this deliciously enticing scent. It was all I could do to keep from going up and nuzzling him whenever I saw him.

Why can't I use Old Spice?

I Like it and I'm a grandpa.

(My Grandpa used Bay Rum cologne. But you don't have to worry about encountering it. I haven't seen it anywhere for years.)

HM,

i have had a lot of compliments on the following three:

tommy
cool water
Curve

i have found the big key is to wear anything that is real clean and light. just some advise. see ya

Whatever you do, DO NOT get one of the cheap, "trendy" ones, that teenage boys that want to pretend they've started shaving use!
You know, the ones they cover themselves with top to toe, so that you can smell them walking on the other side of the road and choke on the fumes!
Hawksview's right, it does depend on your body chemistry, though. A friend of mine wore something, I think it might have been Farenheit. I was lovely on him, but when I bought it for my brother's birthday, it's horrible on him.

Eau Sauvage by Dior - been wearing it to great reviews for years ...

but the real amswer is - find one which suits your body type! Our natural scents are all different, and our cologne should be chosen carefully to match.

tip - go to the store; find a woman assistent wehose perfume you like ... get her to help you choose - if you amuse and flatter her she'll be keen to help!

I guess it's safe to say we all like Cool Water.. so maybe that's the one to go with.. but my absolute favorite.. is Farenheit ... OH GOD!! That's good stuff. My top three favorites are..

Farenheit
Cool Water
Calvin Klein's Calvin

I am sorry, but I have to go with a couple of old ones...Polo and Chaps

Weird Harold, you can wear Old Spice if you ARE a grampa. But don't expect to pick ME up in a bar.

It seems everyone is in love with Davidoff's "Cool Water", but I prefer a different one by the same maker, it's called "Zino". Another one that's always made my heart melt (maybe because I've been around so many HOT men in my past who have worn it) is Lagerfeld...yum!

But I will tell you, hands down, the most irresistable, delicious scent is "Le Male" by Jean Paul Gaultier! It's expensive...and absolutely worth it. Trust me.

Gotta go with Renee here...Farenheit by Christian Dior.......I have the urge to kiss every guy I ever encounter who has it on. But it is a stong scent....so don't over do it.

I forgot about that one. I love Farenheit!!!
When my boyfriend use to wear that I could sniff his t-shirts. I know sounds kind of psycho but I love the scent.

Some men have that naturally. They become “ womanisers “ as one female friend describe a lover she didn’t actually like , but couldn’t resist his scent . Wish I was so lucky .

Different women will react well to different smells.
If you want to play it safe, pick something a little soapy over something musky.
Don't expect the cologne to do the seducing for you - the purpose is just to make you appear hygienic :)
