Vance will be more effective than Trump on the same issues. Many people who agree with trump on the issues are embarrassed by Trump's low class vulgarity and his lack of integrity.

Vance is owned by Musk and Thiel. But his power ends there. He doesn’t have the MAGA base that Trump does. He doesn’t have racist thugs who are willing to act as his enforcers. He doesn’t have Republicans in Congress who are terrified of their MAGA voters.

I thought before the election that the money men would force Trump out earlier, but I was wrong. Their huge fortunes are worthless if people are so pissed off they refuse to be bought off. The DOGE and ICE debacles killed the Vance Presidency.

It might actually be scarier.

The gradual erosion of civil liberties would continue unabated, and possibly accelerate. I would expect woman's reproductive freedoms would soon disappear on a nationwide basis, but even beyond that, there was already talk of a possible repeal of the 19th amendment, leading to loss of voting priveleges as well. GLBT rights, and even rights to contraception, would be on the chopping block and would probably go away as well. Meanwhile he would likely be able to stack the courts with more syncophants, leading to less challenges to his nefarious policies. Protections against unlawful search and seizure, laws of privacy, freedom of expression, freedom of religion (for non-Christians anyway)- the goal among the Project 2025 people was always to take these away, leaving us with a literal Iranian style police state. Large numbers of dissenters would likely be jailed on trumped up (no pun intended) charges as a result.

All the while, the Hisarpys, Saint Anns, and RussianBotguides would blather on about how much more "Freedom" Americans would have as a result, and see nothing ironic about it.

Healthcare would be much more difficult to obtain. The middle class would dissappear, having to shoulder a much higher tax burden and pretty much everyone but the ultra wealthy would suffer a dramatic decline in living standards; this is already happening now but it would continue unabated, even accelerate, under a JD Vance regime.

After wrapping up the campaign of rounding up "illegals" rest assured, ICE would begin targeting other people who would be considered enemies of the regime: GLBT activists, environmental activists, and most importantly, people who advocate for justice for minorities and people of color. Discrimination against such groups would be legalized, as all such protections would be nullified by the hyper-partisan stacked court system.

This would only be a part of it. I could go on, but it would take a wall of text, and rest assured, to summarize, it would not be pleasant at all. There is a real reason that (despite what various Russian Botguides would have us believe) even many conservative voters are finally realizing the damage that Trump is doing to America, and are souring on him. Let us hope and pray that such a regime never comes to fruition. Because there are those people who would read that list, and think all of this dystopian nightmare would be "good." I mean, this system works fine for Russians, North Koreans and Iranians.
