Has anyone started a totally on line relationship and if so how long did it last? Or is it still alive and well!

Please tell us how it started, any details that you want to share like what was the common attraction and what keeps it alive and would you recommend it?

I can say that I have an amazing "better than a friendship" relationship with a man from Lit that last June he and I became an amazing 'us'!
What we enjoy are good morning and good nights.. Every night. And any messages during the day are special too!!

He's my rock! 💋🤠🏈

I've been here and there I've been up and down looking for someone but all I find are ghosts.
Maybe I'm being to honest to people??

Just bitterly broke up almost exactly 3 years to the day when I started an online relationship with a 42 year old Germany woman, many years my junior. We were always very close & deeply shared our everyday lives, chatting in calls very openly.

It was a wonderful 1st year, a good 2nd year & a patchy & eventually for me, unbearable last 6 months. Basically she wanted to find a partner in life (she broke with her partner of 15 years not long after we first met online & they have a 8 yr old boy). So this is very normal & understandable but regularly hooked up with guys from tinder & Bumble only to become depressed when they were just one or two night fucks.

When she started meeting guys our online intimacy became infrequent but we were still very close. The pattern of these hook-ups, followed by her depression, my attempts at support & advice to go elsewhere to find a partner led to growing frustration on my side & anger at my advice being ignored while trying to comfort & support her but resentment on her side that I didn't understand her situation.

I've since concluded that there's probably an addiction involved - looking for validation from guys (in the form of sexual desire) but going to exactly the wrong place to find anything meaningful long-term - so a mixed up, confused & contradictory set of goals

Anyway, a mixed experience - both wonderful & frustrating at the same time.

Way back in 2007, my husband and I met online. It was a different type of forum but we started talking. We then exchanged MySpace (if anyone remembers that), then phone numbers. We texted, called, then got brave enough to do a video chat. Turned out, we only lived about 70 miles apart so, I drove over one Saturday for a lunch date that turned into an afternoon of sex. We started dating, had one misunderstanding that led to a short break, then we reconciled. Just over a year after that first meeting, we got married and are still here 17 years later.
