How long do story edits take to get out of pending?

So for me, new stories take a day or two or sometimes three to get posted, but they get posted pretty quick. Story edits, meanwhile, take considerably longer. The two that I have in my pending folder right now have been there since Nov28 and Nov30 (today is Dec16). How long should I expect to wait for them to be processed and approved? For context, in the time they've been in the pending folder, I've submitted and gotten a new story published. I know that the official timeline is about a fifteen day wait, but what do I do after that? Is it like, a normal story usually takes one day, but can take up the three, so a story edit will normally take fifteen days, but can take up to forty-five? What's the rule of thumb?

<deep breath in, deep breath out> Ok. Ok. Two to six weeks, done after new releases have been done, so probably usually when there aren't new releases in the queue. Add context to the note the admin for what you've done to the story for the edit to help it along. Ok.

I can't see them doing that. The company that owns Literotica (or Laurel personally if she's unwise) is legally liable, possibly criminally liable, for the decisions those volunteers make, if they cause the company to publish something illegal.

Somewhat I worry about anyone who wants the job. Wanting the job enough to do it for the level of commitment required makes me worry that someone has an agenda. Either letting certain dubious content in. Or excluding content they object to.

My experience is that edits don't get processed at all. Typos are just an albatross of shame I get to wear forever. I've stopped even bothering to submit such requests, as they just clog my pending tab.

Not to add to your strain @taytay4eva I have had two in Pending Purgatory since 11/24 & 11/25. Throw your hands in the air and wait to see if you win the lottery for your story being published.

There was a nice "rule of thumb" before the glitch as some are referring to it but meh, its like the powerball now. hope pray and celebrate when you win aka, you story is published.

I can;t say with any direct knowledge what is typically happening now with edits. Given the prugatory problems that became much more pronounced in September, it would not shock me if there is more of a problem now. I did get Laurel to recently push through an edit in 36 hours for a story that was particularly impacted by the disappearing section separator bug. I was thankful for that one.

I was horrified by the mistakes I had let slip through in my early stories, which are the ones my experience withe edits comes from. When I realized how many problems I allowed to be published, I was angry at myself and I have been much more careful in my editing and proofreading process since then. Some still slip through, which I fix in my master copy I maintain when I notice them. But I have not felt the need to submit an edit for any of my last 42 stories, except the one to work around the site's rendering issues. I'm sure I will let a big one go through again some day, and I hope the editing process is running more smoothly at that point.
