Anyone from the UK?

The Geminid meteors are at maximum tonight but the weather means that only observers SE of the Humber-Severn line have a chance of seeing them.

The radiant, near Castor (α Geminorum), will be due east at 10pm and south at 2am. The peak spans the whole of that period, but remember than the radiant is an imaginary point in the direction of Earth's travel. Meteors will be most visible at deflections of about 30° from there.

From a clear, dark site there should be an average of 1 meteor per minute. The faintest ones will have been grains of sand when they hit the upper atmosphere and the very brightest no bigger than 5p pieces.

Good hunting.

Saxony? I've had Milbenkäse. Quite pungent and strong but good.
It's from the area, but I'm not. I had this stuff before but I had better cheese. Saint Nectaire is one of my favourites. I think in the US and UK is labelled as biological weapon.
Mett is great. It's one of the reasons why food regulations are very strict here. Minced meat? Pork? Raw? That's why.
We just started the fire place and I had my firsht Glühwein, or sho.
😇
