15 years ago the cartoonist's girlfriend was diagnosed with cancer. Once in a while he does a strip about where they're at with it. IIRC the greyed content is the stuff from the previous updates, the solid content at the bottom is the latest update.

Thanksgiving's an odd one isn't it? Most western public holidays - and I suspect ones in other cultures - are based around religious festivals, but TG is apparently a harvest festival. I suppose Hogmanay in Scotland is hung on the Gregorian calendar but Lord knows, people in high latitudes need some festivals to stop them topping themselves or dying from vitamin D deficiency in winter.
I'm sorry if this isn't providing a new 'not AI topic'...

The prank is the pixelated part. It looks like what happens if Google maps censors an area, and because it's in the middle of nowhere, the immediate thought for the people looking is that they've stumbled onto some highly classified secret and that's why it's pixelated.

But it's not pixelated, it's just very large signs in colors similar to the surrounding area set up to make the spot look pixelated in the satellite images.

Both sound too acidic, and charcoal dust might be too gritty. I'd have to try it to be sure and my SO does not have an oral fetish so I don't see it happening anytime soon.
