The States (22?) suing require that the FedGov pay SNAP benefits to illegal immigrants so that the (D)'s have a large enough voter base to get reelected.

Take away those illegal immigrants and the only options they're left with to stay in power is stuffing the ballot box. Which they're already doing and barely hanging on even with the illegal voters.

It's an allegation, not fact.

You're also missing the fact that it's federal money. Under the Constitution the Administration is required to ensure than the law is being obeyed when spending taxpayer dollars. Making SNAP beneficiaries reapply to verify that they're entitled to the benefits isn't "arbitrary."

And of course you're glossing over the FACT that immigrants can't become a "public charge" as part of them being allowed to be here. This includes "lawful permanent residents" because they're still not naturalized citizens.

In the end this lawsuit is just more baseless whinging against Trump and using the courts to do it.

The courts can easily solve this problem. The states will provide the USDA with the names and contact information of ALL those they think have been unfairly removed. The USDA, or it's designated agents (like ICE), will then independently verify the eligibility of EACH individual. Who could argue with that solution?
