Democrat Shutdown might be ending tonight?

It’s the same story over and over. Say shit, don’t back shit up, supporters are too stupid to ask enough questions… go somewhere where you can be on a big screen.

But you like the same jello over and over. So you will be happy.
Read the room. Your party caved.

At least now the Republicans will have go to on the record as voting against extending the subsidies. If the Dems had held out on saving them, that would've been the best possible outcome...but low-information voters would most likely have had no idea.

The Democrats put everything in the spotlight / under the microscope (the importance of government workers, the cost of quality health insurance if nothing is done, the cruelty of DonOld & the MAGAt republicans, the number of Americans who rely on government subsidies / services, etc).

Americans have had a chance to see for themselves and judge which party (the Democrats) is ACTUALLY looking out for the general populace (populist) and which party is extreme sociopaths / psychopaths (DonOld & the MAGAt republicans).

The recent election wins also gave the Democratic Party options: They could have played hardball longer, but with the holidays approaching, they evidently decided to take the election wins as “good enough - for now”.

And there will be another partial government shut down in a few months if healthcare isn’t addressed.

DonOld & the MAGAt republicans can do something with the help of Democrats to address the mounting problems facing America that were largely caused by DonOld & the MAGAt republicans - or not.

Independent voters already see the truth, so it doesn’t really matter: DonOld & the MAGAt republicans are fucked for the 2026 midterms and most likely the 2028 presidential elections.

👍

Still, a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering from electing DonOld & the MAGAt republicans in 2016 & 2024…

Typical democrat. If something doesn't work double down on it, don't fix it cuz that would admit failure. JUST THROW MORE MONEY AT IT, after al it's not our money.

Exactly who the fuck cares? WHO? Oh, I KNOW!!!! The insurance companies that have been donating to the democrats, they care.

Trump just destroyed the whole Oscumacare scam a couple of days ago and the dementocrats know it.

Have you given up on making coherent comments?
1.5 trillion on additional democrat spending shut down the government. Is that coherent enough. Not my problem if you can't connect the dots. Maybe now that democrats are done stomping their feet in anger congress can move on to fixing healthcare.

None of this is true. What's worse is that the D's are relying on those low information voters to save them.

It's pretty sad when you have to keep your constituents in the dark just so you can stay in power.

The Obamacare (peace be upon anything with his name) Scam Shakedown was exposed. The useful idiot’s like YD still don’t understand that was a temporary subsidy. They want to codify it. President Trump stood fast. Our usual spineless Republicans stood fast for once and look what happened. The truth won out.

But I was right, wasn't I?

The Dementocraps caved and didn't get shit. Gotta love it.
Did you predict that the sun would rise in the East today too? 🙄

Of course the Dems "caved." Republithugs have no interest in a child between the age of 1 and 11. They only become of interest to them when they are old enough to fight back.

What ineedhelp1 doesn’t understand about the health insurance marketplace before and after the ACA would fill an encyclopedia:

Search Assist

Before the Affordable Care Act (ACA), many health insurance policies had significant limitations, including exclusions for pre-existing conditions and high out-of-pocket costs, which often left individuals without adequate coverage. The ACA aimed to address these issues by expanding coverage options and implementing consumer protections.

Coverage Before the Affordable Care Act

Lack of Coverage Options

Before the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was enacted in 2010, many Americans faced significant barriers to obtaining health insurance. High rates of uninsurance were common, primarily due to:
  • Unaffordability: Many individuals could not afford health insurance premiums.
  • Preexisting Conditions: Insurers often denied coverage or charged higher premiums based on preexisting health conditions.

High Out-of-Pocket Costs

For those who did have insurance, the coverage was often inadequate. Key issues included:
  • High Out-of-Pocket Expenses: Many insured individuals faced substantial out-of-pocket costs, making healthcare unaffordable.
  • Coverage Limits: Insurance plans frequently had annual and lifetime limits on coverage, which could leave patients with significant medical bills once those limits were reached.

Changes Introduced by the ACA

The ACA aimed to address these issues by expanding coverage options and implementing consumer protections. It established health insurance marketplaces and expanded Medicaid eligibility, significantly reducing the number of uninsured Americans and improving access to necessary healthcare services.

The Democrats inflicted 40 days of pain on a lot of their people and others as well and got ZERO in return. It was a total capitulation. They agreed to the original Republican offering. The creator of The Art Of The Deal came away victorious.
