Has anyone heard from him? He has not posted since October 13.

It seems particularly odd that he wasn't around for Halloween. He did have a story in the contest.

Sometimes he does dissapear for a while. He's not as obsessed with the forum as some might think. There's been a few threads he'd surely be in.

If he's still alive, he'll be back. He could be working on another book since he's a working author like Millie. Of course as much as he does like to pontificate, I wouldn't expect him to make a big thing about leaving, or let us know he died.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect him to let us know he was dead, but I was surprised to not see him here for the Halloween contest.

I believe he may have some health issues too. I've "known" him for a long time now, but I've never talked to him outside the forums. Honestly I think I may be missing out on some good wisdom from him and others because of that.

I've spoken with him, and he is very much alive, just dealing with some real-life issues. No need to worry, he'll be back to complain about BTB stories sooner or later. ;)
Good to hear. I was going to reach out today to see how he is as I haven't heard from him in a while. Real life shit is shit.

Halloween would usually be a good time for dead authors to get in touch with us.

Has any author pre-submitted a story to be released after their death?

This is tied for first place for my epitath.

Although, given that I plan to be several meters down a Great White, maybe it will just have to be printed on slips of paper at the wake.
Perhaps we can have a commemorative plate commissioned.

Back when Ogg thought he was going to pass the first time, before he refused to die for a couple years, he took a bunch of unfinished fragmentary pieces, welded them together to exceed 750 words, and submitted them as his last contribution to the story side.

But then he lasted a couple more years after that, so.

That's the closest I can remember to that sort of thing. If I was to get any kind of forewarning about my own passing, I might possibly write something and then entrust it to some sort of literary executor. I dunno.

It's almost enough to make you think someone can leave Lit for a little while without making a thread about it.
