Jumping into the fire ... Should the entire Non-Con category be eliminated?

Would they walk out though? Wouldn't they be too smitten to leave their kidnapper?

Or are they required to leave so it isn't assault?

"I'm sorry, but you must leave us now. If you don't, then this kidnapping is titillating and wrong. See you on Saturday."

There is a mandatory cooling off period. You know... if you love someone set them free. If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

I may have gotten that last part wrong... it's been awhile.

I'm sorry to put this so bluntly,
But,
Does this mean that if a rapist treats a victim with kindness, the victim might later fall for them, making everything not so icky?
I think that's the gist of the rule that it must be enjoyable for the victim.

So, the lesson here is: If you're going to rape someone, make sure you give them the best mind-blowing sex ever so it overrides all pain, humiliation, and terror they felt.

(Plan ahead and have the toys ready and charged!)

No, no, sounds correct to me. But then again, I'm pro-rape, pro-kidnapping, and pro-murder-of-ghosts. Fuck Clyde.

I thought about door dashing, but I've heard enough horror stories about the customers as well. I feel like it'd be worse than when I drove a cab. But I need to do something.

A friend did it for a few months. Didn't really have many customer problems, but when she figured out what she was making versus the miles she was putting on her car... the math just didn't work.

My son did it for a while. Sometimes it was profitable, sometimes not so much.

Back when I was young, I played PacMan and ever since then, I've had a life long hatred of ghosts. I put sage all over my house and invested in a ghost trapper I bought on Etsy to catch all of the bastards.

Oh, and I'm addicted to Reese's Pieces now but I'm not sure if that's related. I blame ET for that.
Oddly they weren't originally ghost.

So, all of your cuckold stories in Loving Wives?
That's a forbidden topic when a cheating wife is branding her husband with the word "cuckold" against his will! Then you have to make people think about her depriving him of his sexual agency in getting his preferred and contractually monogamous relationship, and making people think is not enjoyable (for them).

What if you kidnap him first, hold him against his will, and then release him before he returns as a cuckold? That's cool, right?

Lord knows that @pink_silk_glove and I have had our fair share of arguments. But like her, and so many other writers here, I do not want to take away the right of writers to create their stories their way. It is the one place in this world where I can have my way, every time, all the time. Writing is an art, let the artist make their art and let others critique it.

Sexual non consent is rape....
It glorifies the sexual abuse of another human being regardless of their gender.
Taking another human being sexually against their wishes is rape... Non consensual sex is rape....
You can paint pretty flowers on it, but it doesn't change it... Rape... Is Rape...
Any attempts to portray it as anything else, is in my opinion... Bullshit...

So, should Non Con be banned???
In my opinion... Absolutely.

Cagivagurl
What are you really arguing for?

Glorifying rape, where a character commits a crime against another and gets pleasure from their victim's suffering, is already against the TOS.

So, is your argument that authors in the NC category are ignoring the rules?

Or, that lit isn't enforcing the TOS?

Wouldn't issuing individual warnings or suspending publishing rights of the offending authors, be more logical and fair than banning the entire nc category?

I'm stuck wondering why so many would have to be punished for the actions of so few?

Or, is this just a case of "this is how I feel and don't care if it's unreasonable" stomp stomp, hands over ears.

And, please don't delete anything because someone else criticized or didn't approve of it. It's your creation. Own it.

Does this mean I can get back to writing my story featuring kidnapping, rape, cocaine, and white chocolate? 'Cuz you won't believe where the white chocolate ends up!

Well, actually you probably would believe it.

But since we can't admit that minors have sex (you know, that reject reality thing), that motto would apply to the Scout Masters.
Yeah, that disconnect from reality is annoying. I had to rewrite one of my stories because I needed a year gap and it takes special circumstances to have an eighteen-year-old junior in high school.
