The AH Coffee Shop and Reading Room 09

We went back to GMT last night in the UK so I have to wait 11 hours to be able to stop the clock for an hour to set it to the correct time. Simples. I love analogue
My grandfather clock is easy to reset. I just push the hour hand backwards five minutes on the dial. Changing the date wheel for short months - poke a finger into the little opening and push the dial on to the right date.

Could be something simple like wax, but yea - get the doc to have a look.

wrt Time and clocks
My tummy has been confused all day and now I'm looking at the clock thinking I'm a child because it feels like bedtime at 8pm. Do they play clocks in the southern hemisphere I wonder?
Yes, we go forward an hour in the first weekend in October, and back an hour in April. Except for Queensland, NT and WA, which can get confusing, especially Queensland.

I don't know the controls on ours very well yet. We just inherited it a few months ago -- my SO built it (from a kit) for my MIL 45 years ago. I know my son and my SO, who got it set up when it arrived, found it much easier to move hands back. I think you're not supposed to move the hands forward on this one. Moving many hours was more of a pain somehow than simply moving the hands all the way around 12 times.

I finished the grading for the exam I should have finished two weeks ago! It took so long, I have another major assignment waiting for me to grade, but take the wins where we get them.

I have to say, checking in on an active AH today between every chunk of exams helped.

Are we still talking about clocks?

Yeah, my printer poops, too, but it has a built-in toilet function ejection chute, so a collection bin keeps the discards contained.

Funny thing... never thought about it until just now... it has a nozzle cleaning feature after each change. That's right, it wipes its own butt after pooping. I'll never be able to watch it work again without laughing.
The problem with Flashforge is the documentation - there is none. Luckily I saw a YouTube video before I fired it up, otherwise I never would have known about the Poop Chute, and my machine is quite noisy when it wipes itself (Bang, Bang, CLANG!)

Next challenge: Colorizing .stl files I like.

I slept in this morning and haven't got any writing done yet. The sun is threatening to rise and brighten up my day.

I've got a fresh pot of coffee going and the teapot is hot. There are donuts and an apple crisp on the counter. This one came out really crispy so enjoy!

I'll be wading through the plot bunnies to my table in the corner to try to get some writing done. Hopefully they won't nibble on my ankles today ...
