People who see life as a simple decision between 2 choices are limited in their ability to think critically. I am opposed to some people who have legally immigrated to the USA but I have no control over that matter other than with my vote.

I understand and feel the same dissatisfaction with the drastic changes to the culture of the USA. I’ve studied immigration and never had a problem with people who make their best effort to assimilate. I don’t have a problem with people who make no effort to speak English or who waive flags from other countries.

However

I’m a theist but I don’t identify myself with any religion. I think of humanity as my religion. When I discuss the border crossings with friends, I offer the analogy of a ship sinking and survivors in the water swimming to lifeboats. If you’re in the boat most would help others at least until the boat is full. More survivors are swimming to the boat.
