I think there might be something off with the notifications as well. I just got one that a favorite published a story. It just came in minutes ago, yet it says '13 hours ago'

I’m showing twelve new ‘deleted user’ comments on a particular story in the notifications feed, and two on other stories. I had seen most of these comments last night (Australian time), but I don’t think that they were showing in the notifications feed at the time.

From the patterns I’m seeing:
- the notifications feed is still a mess, but it’s being worked on. It’s like watching open heart surgery.
- I agree that these notifications match anonymous comments. ‘Deleted’ should read ‘Anonymous’.
- The timings reflect when the actions happened, not when the notifications got updated. In the case of the Deleted User comments, it’s probably when they got through the approvals queue rather when the comments were made.

Also got quadruple notifications for one story posted by somebody I follow. Something tells me Lit doesn't have a prod/dev separation...

When I first started writing, "nobody has commented" was what I saw every time I opened my control panel.

My best guess is that Manu is doing some general cleanup on the databases, and this is part of it. It's just odd, in my case, that the comments are so recent and still on the stories as Anonymous.

Or probably an AI bot which deletes these users ???

I think that we had a bot spam comments promoting free easy sex or getting rich quick and the admins deleted all the comments.

Not sure, but the comments that accompany the notices all showed that the story had actually been read. Maybe AI could do that, but

Manu has said there was a glitch where the system was seeing anonymous commenters as deleted users.
