Story title restrictions

I have a story that says its published but gives a 404 error.

Its title starts with "30th..." And I don't see any other stories starting with numbers.

Is there a name restriction or requirements that excludes starts with numbers?

if the problem persists, add a note to admin at the bottom of the submission form. It worked for my 3 characters too long title.

thanks.

ill still wait.

all my stories were rejected for my horrible spelling, but 2 are in limbo currently.

I'll give it a day or two per the forum rules and may just repost.

Your profile doesn't show any stories posted, so I don't think it's a temporary site error. Did you get a notification that it was posted, and has it vanished from your pending submissions?

it shows as "Published" and pending, so i'm confused.

I'm also happy to wait. The other parts were rejected again, but i'll include a note this time.

I think the rejections are more grammatical choices I made that may conflict with the editors expectations.

Ah, no, you're misreading it slightly. You're showing the pending queue there. When it goes to New I believe it's approved and in the queue and will appear in the next day or so.

(Not sure of that final approval step, but the long delay is going from grey "submitted" or "pending" or something to the orange New. I know every time my submission has gone to New it has appeared very shortly.)

huzzah!!!

thank you all for the clarification.

I will re-edit and post the 3 other parts asap.

also, hopefully someone reads and likes these! there isn't much sexy going on in them...

Thank you for the reply...I'll wait the suggested 72 hours and see if it shows up.
If we're talking about the same 72-hour "recommendation," I think it should be understood that the recommendation really was to make sure none of the specific mistakes they named were made,

There was no recommendation about what to do if reviewing for those mistakes reveals none, except for "don't lose your place in the queue by tinkering with the story."

There was an expectation set that 15 days was how long you should wait without doing anything other than checking for those pitfalls and correcting them if necessary.

There was no statement about what to do after the 15 days, although we have figured it out (that's when you delete and resubmit in order to work around the permanently-pending bug.)
