I went to the rally in downtown Houston today, Congressional Representative Jasmine Crockett worked the crowd up into an early frenzy today talking about Republican efforts to restrict access to medical care for the poor.

At the end of her remarks, she brought up the horrific treatment of Gazan civilians by Israel. The crowd absolutely roared a call-and-response led by her of "Free Free Palestine! Occupation Is a Crime!"

Very large very peaceful demonstration. Quite a few inflated frog and T-rex costume. A shit-ton of handmade protest signs. I actually made one myself!

Not a single counter-protester or MAGA hat to be seen the entire day.

I will say I drove 300 miles today for a favor to a friend. Almost every overpass we drove under either had people with No Kings signs or the signs hanging on the fences.

We had about a couple thousand in my town's protest today. Would have been more, probably SHOULD have been more, but the local football team was a bigger draw, and a lot of supporters were at the game, (or at home watching it) supporting the protest in spirit.
I would have been there myself, but I was at the game.
We should, however, still step up and do more, what we can, to fight the injustice and oppression of this rogue US government, and reclaim it FOR THE PEOPLE. Not the corrupt rich or authoritarian "Handmaid's Tale" neo-Taliban whose ideas are in no way representative of the people (Even many who initially voted for Trump, but now regret doing so!)
