For the billionth time, no illegals are getting free healthcare. That's false. What is true and you seem to think it applies to everyone is that emergency medical treatment cannot be refused to anyone, any indigent, anyone unable to pay, or even those who can pay. They must be treated by law. Regular medical care for illegals is NOT provided with funding from the US government. It may be funded by local government policies, but not by the Federal government.

You are off point and misinformed.

So glad that you said this.
In a so called Christian nation, I find it sickening that we basically had to codify the Hippocratic oath and it was done by none other than bush junior. People like Jeff forget that we have insurance based healthcare - denying care won’t stop at an undocumented migrant with the flu.

Come visit Seattle, please. But only visit with your eyes open! If you are illegal anywhere in Seattle, you WILL get free housing. Free food. Free medical care. A free cell phone. I've lived here 79 years, and am a bit more knowledgeable about this than you.

400 million for Qatari bribe jet
200 million for WH ballroom
30 million for birthday parade
26 million and counting for weekend golf excursions this year alone

As my dear friend, ican’thelp saying the name Biden 🙄, likes to remind us all - it’s the House that holds the power of the purse. Unlike the examples given by tiny Johnson here, none of the executive discretionary spending listed above were part of a bipartisan budget.

Or visit California which expanded its Medicaid program (MediCal) to include undocumented immigrants in 2024. Due to the state’s budget crisis, they are freezing new enrollment in 2026 so move fast!

It's Trump's plan to cut healthcare; you can read about it online. You calling him a fucking moron for doing that? Okay, then I agree. He is one.

Trump has no plan other than to cut funding. The cuts will come and there will still be no plan. If he had a plan, why isn't it available now so people can decide which plan to sign up for? It's time to get signed up, and that window is rapidly closing. Where's the plan, man?

This is correct. Johnson, Vance, and the Felon are getting the blame from the public. MAGA is not getting the wool pulled over their eyes on this. PS, they also want the Epstein files outed. Go MAGA!
If you know all that shit, you SHOW US the plan.

What I do know is a shit pot of ineligible people are going to be cut loose and I'm perfectly fine with that.

What is clearly known is that Trump's current plan is negatively affecting millions of legal status migrant residents. People who are paying into the tax system and have Medicare and other health deductions taken from their wages by their employers, all of which contribute to other born-here citizens as well. What you should be thinking about is that his plan isn't removing these immigrants from the USA. That stripping them of healthcare only exacerbates the grand plan to make them future citizens. Your view is short-sighted. Even a short-sighted individual recognizes that putting already marginal people in worse conditions will lead to undesirable consequences, right?

KFF.org says this about Trump's plan. Immigrant Health Care

"The 2025 tax and budget law includes significant cuts to the
Medicaid program as well as eligibility restrictions that make many lawfully present immigrants (LPIs) ineligible for Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), subsidized coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplaces, and Medicare coverage. Under the new law (H.R.1), eligibility for Medicaid and CHIP, subsidized Marketplace coverage, and Medicare will be limited to lawful permanent residents (LPRs or “green card” holders), Cuban or Haitian entrants, and citizens of Compact of Free Association (COFA) residing in the U.S (Table 1). States can also maintain Medicaid and CHIP coverage for lawfully residing pregnant people or children covered through a state option as well as through the “From-Conception to End of Pregnancy” option, which provides coverage to low-income children regardless of their parent’s immigration status. This change will make many groups of lawfully present immigrants ineligible for coverage, including refugees, asylees, people with Temporary Protected Status (TPS), as well as individuals on work visas, among others. The law also eliminates eligibility for subsidized ACA Marketplace coverage for all lawfully present immigrants with incomes below 100% of the federal poverty level (FPL) who do not qualify for Medicaid coverage due to immigration status. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that these coverage restrictions will result in 1.4 million LPIs becoming uninsured with $131 billion in reduced federal spending and $4.8 billion in increased federal revenues by 2034. There is no effect on coverage of undocumented immigrants, who are already ineligible for all federally funded health coverage. Some states use their own money to provide health coverage to undocumented immigrants."

Great work with this reply!
It saddens me that you won’t receive the same care and consideration with a response, just a “na-ah!” 😕

  • California: As of 2024, California uses state funds to cover low-income adults, children, and pregnant people, regardless of immigration status.
  • New York: Offers coverage to certain income-eligible adults age 65 and older.
  • Illinois: Provides coverage for some income-eligible seniors 65 and over.
  • Other states: Several other states, such as Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, and Colorado, offer or have recently offered limited state-funded health coverage to specific populations of undocumented immigrants.
Who do you think pays for this?

State-funded sources pay for this, of course. States Rights. Or is that no longer a valid option for them under Trump to spend their own money?

It's not Federal dollars that Johnson and Trump claim. You just pointed this out by itemizing the states.

You certainly made my point when I said it was not federally funded. You cited it by listing a number of states. Thanks for that support.
  • California covers everyone—it doesn't discriminate and covers citizens in need as well. Admirable concept if they have their own money to use as the California citizens decide to use it that way.
  • New York covers certain people over 65, NOT everyone
  • Illinois same
  • Other states cover some as well
So not EVERYONE gets covered—those in the most need. Selective process, Bubba. And to reiterate, they spend their own state tax monies on those projects, as you cleverly pointed out. It's not FEDERAL FUNDS!

It's hilarious how assholes like Schumer keep trying to sell the 'Trump shutdown' scenario, when it's obvious to anyone with a brain (the conservatives) that this is a shoddy attempt to save his career from the far left.

Schumer may have been able to carve out a decent 'legacy' for himself, but this ain't it.
It's a bit silly for Trump to pony up $20 billion for his friends in Argentina, but he won't lift a finger to keep healthcare costs from skyrocketing for his most vulnerable citizens.

It's almost as if he has some personal grudge against immigrants. Could it be because some of his wives were immigrants, and now he's not in bed with them? Possibly not getting emotional support. It's hard to get affection when your wife is living in another state, right? Perhaps projecting his frustration on immigrants as a result?

Yup. And those illegals are being deported. You must have missed the bulletin.

Buhbye parasites.

rebel and ican live in a vacuum where the potential of kicking an estimated 11 million Americans off of healthcare won’t raise the costs for them or anyone else. This myopic view of the world is cute only with babies and not grown ass men. Oh, wait… 🙄

It's the lazy politician's method, fixating on some imagined "enemy."

Without immigrants, the USA would be poorer, less technologically advanced and it would have a smaller population.

Money is fungible. Whether it’s states or federal, what gives either entity the authority to use taxpayer money’s to support migrants… illegal, non citizen status or legal green card holders in any capacity? Government is too quick and leisurely about spending money that’s not theirs to spend. My governor spends billions on illegals. Spending taxpayer money for the common good doesn’t equate to authorizing Marxist lunatics or ‘make believe’ conservatives to spend outside their constitutional limits. Our congress over decades has bastardized the meaning of ‘the common good’ to mean whatever they illegitimately legitimize. Altruistic delusions. 38 trillion in debt

No matter how many different ways you explain the right of the state there’s no way to come back against the argument that money is fungible. 💩

All I know is that we, as a country, are deeply in debt.

It sure would be nice if John Q. Taxpayer got to decide his own credit limit.

What is missing from the hand-wringing, bed-wetters, narrative is all of those that Biden paroled into the country have had their paroles revoked. Their status is now ILLEGAL.

Further, exceptions can be made but the operative word is EXCEPTIONS. Round'em up, ship'em out. Not one single dollar of taxpayers monies to support them in ANY WAY.

You say the most ridiculously stupid things. Trump doesn't hold a grudge against immigrants, he encourages legal immigration. He wants the illegal immigrants out of the country.

Do you understand the difference, you fucking idiot?
