Were the shoe on the other foot, you can bet Trump would not give anyone else credit for it. Trump's credit is due, but not because he did much personally did he? The Israelis pounded the Hamas terrorists into submission. Terrorists paid a high cost for slaughtering those civilians many times over. The true credit goes to Isreal, Trump gets some for supporting their efforts. But like he did with claiming to settle seven or eight wars, he wants all the credit and claims it—Braggadocious bastard.

IF is a big word. You know Trump couldn't, or more correctly, wouldn't try to save a drowning child risking his own life. That's not who he is as a certifiable narcissist. So, IF is unlikely to happen except in a fairy tale or his funeral, where some sycophant might squeeze in such a lie.

Perhaps peace breaks out now, but not likely. Hamas is already trying to weasel out of some parts of the negotiations. I fully expect a new hammer blow to fall now that the one roadblock to all-out destruction has been removed.

• Hamas agreed to "disarm" in order to get a commitment to a two-state solution from genocidal Israel in writing.
• Genocidal Israel agreed to a "two state solution" in order to get a commitment for Hamas to "disarm" in writing.

Neither side has any interest in abiding by the terms of the ceasefire.

This ceasefire was performative, done for the cameras.
