The Isolated Blurt Thread XXXVII: You're Welcome, Fuckers

I stood on a plug a few years back and got the three scars to prove it. It went right in my foot. Fucking horrible.

I did it when I was about eighteen or nineteen (over forty years ago) . I was always a quick healer, and I didn’t really notice any scars… Of course, it was the bottom of my foot and I didn’t really look for any scars after it healed. I also played a fuckton of sports and probably wore away any scars over the years. I’m almost tempted to look… I know it was my right foot in the arch… damn now I’m getting flashbacks about the moment and the aftermath…

😳

I wish I had a book out...

No I dont.. Nobody would read it, not even my damn bastard kids!

Fucking kids.

all that outdoors exercise has me bloody bushed! it's a good kinda feeling, though; gonna sleep well tonight!

I looked at my bike and it's in need of a bath before it goes onto the trainer for winter. I'll have to un-winterize a hose for this chore.

When we bought this house, i needed new hoses. We have over acre between the front and the back. So, i did the logical thing, bought the best hose money could buy, at the longest length they sold. The fucking things are thick! And unroll like solid steel coils. I fight those fuckers every spring and fall. Last year i didnt even bring them in, just unhooked it from the spigot. I just couldnt with those things. Its a battle. One i struggle to win. Bucket and a sponge would be in my future!

I've pitched almost all the long heavy hoses for this Zero-G hose from Lowes. It's light. They say it's not cold tolerant, but nothing really is when it's full of water. If they're drained and aren't touched when they are cold, they should be good in the spring. I'll hook one up to the garage sink and let my bike enjoy a warm bath.

When people don't do this, their frost-proof spigot isn't frost proof and they get a spring surprise.

I've been missing your posts.
lol, you need to get out more then :D

seriously, though, I've not been on Lit as much as usual and when I am it's mainly on the political/current events forum. So much going on with the US economy and US relationships with its allies being tanked, and then some people's takes on the whole Israel/Gaza conflict it's kind of disheartening.

updated to say: I was too optimistic. Between H and the bloody cat, I was disturbed so many times it threw my brain for a loop and so a timely nap this afternoon was required to reboot it :(

Ive bought an equivalent. In fact, the wife bought it. Its ok for the landscaping up front, but doesnt reach very far. Pretty sure she thought 25' was a long way. She also does this with online furniture purchases. We've had a lot of miniature sized couches, chairs, desks and entertainment consoles over the years. Our dog (rip) was a 125lb behemoth, and she thojght a medium sized bed would be big enough.. It looked comical. Poor fella.

I did learn the hard way with my 1st house. I was 22, what did i know? I burst both the front and the back. Water damage to the drywall of the basement. It learned me pretty god damn quick.
