Potential bug synopsis for story Edits:
8/24/2025 and 8/25 - I submitted edits for 7 stories. One edit to a standalone story, and 6 edits to stories in a series.

On 10/7 - 44 days after the edits were submitted for publishing, 2 of the edits were removed from my pending list, but the edited works did not appear to be published - nothing in the Sent Back section.

On 10/8 - The remaining 5 works that were pending with EDITED after their title were removed from the Pending folder. No edits were published.

On 10/10 - The edits for the standalone story appear to have been applied to all pages of the full work.
From the series stories, the edit was applied in full to 1 story that was a single page long (Tales in Slavery Ch. 05)
2 stories still do not show the edits. (Ch. 01, and Ch. 03)
The edits were applied to the first page only on the remaining 3 stories. (Ch. 02, Ch. 04, and Ch. 06)
*all series stories are in the same series

On 10/11 - Waited to see if an update process got hung up over night, cleared cache and viewed from a different browser (to fully rule out it wasn't just me), and checked again, no change from what was observed on 10/10.

I'll update if there are any changes.

Resumbitted four days ago after a month in pending. Still nothing.

Can someone recommend any other sites where I can submit original explicit content?

It happened again. I submitted a story last week and it the submission date got reset the following day.

And it lay in pending until I deleted it this morning and resubmitted it with a note to the mods.

I just checked and it said submitted 27 minutes ago so I go another reset.

This is my third story that get reset. I wonder if it is due to what I wrote. It is a R/NC story so it could flag an AI first read.

That is truly weird. Have you tried resubmitting the edits?

Something has changed in the text; any changes to the text indicates a theoretical reset in the queue, hence the new time-stamp, or so the theory goes.

I see the same. I've compared my submissions pre- and post changes to the timestamp numerous times. I can see how there's a reduction of characters, how spacing between HTML tags have changed, and a bunch of smaller changes. It's like they are cleaning up, or changing the source, to fit whatever model they have.

I had one story that I submitted on July 22. It sat in Pending until September 9, when I withdrew and deleted it, then resubmitted it. It sat for another month before I deleted it again. During that month, The Glitch changed the submission date from September 9 to September 26, then back again.

I submitted a word file so there is no change in text possible. Title, description and tags are the same.

Total mystery!

While you may give them a Word file, they will take that Word file, convert the contents to a format they are comfortable with, which seems to be a mix of Unicode and HTML, and add it to a database.

And then they can adjust the data as they wish.

The fact that we can publish a story using a Word files is purely for our convenience.

Thank you. I did not know that.

I ended up deleting the file and resubmitting to see if I can hit the bug again! 😁

The Shadows of Velantir. I posted that one on August 24 and again on September 24.
After waiting a month since August 24, I resubmitted my story. Then I tried again two weeks later, and now I’ve changed the title. We’ll see. Little by little, I’m starting to care less and less.

Don't think they give a shit. No response to DMs, no replies over here, no official update or apology either.
I feel your frustration. We don’t know what is going on with the site. They may be up to their eyes in alligators. There may be illness - or worse - at Literotica Towers. Communication has never been a major thing here, but I agree the blanket silence is unhelpful.

Thanks for creating this thread tho. Venting here now and then has been the only solace lately.

This is really the first time i have had an issue and I am frustrated, again because it is a first time.
Submitted Marcus Hogue, Ch 15 on 10/8.

Sent a FAQ and PM yesterday asking if there was an issue, still nothing. I understand with the Halloween contest they are publishing 225 - 250 stories a day 🤷‍♀️ but it is still frustrating.

I have five more chapter for that series, I was timing it through the middle of November before the Winter Contest but ... ugh.

And yes, Thanks you @EmilyMiller for this thread

I'd recommend two actions if your story has been sitting in Pending for more than 10-15 days *Laurel says 15 days but personally, I did this after 7 days. Most stories are processed and go thru in 1-3 days, so doing this after 7-10 days sounds appropriatel

(1) DELETE your pending story completely. I repeat, DELETE (not just resubmit)
(2) Submit it as a NEW Story (completely new, from scratch)
(3) Add a Note to Admin saying something like "Story was in Pending from (date) to (date). Was not processed. Deleted completely and resubmitted as a new story on (date)"

This seems to work for quite a few people

Just a suggestion: If you submitted as a Word attachment previously, instead, try copying and pasting the text into the Story submission form on Literotica

If you do this and your story ends up in Pending Hell again, also Report it as a bug on Literotica
  1. Use the online bug report form.
Include the exact URL if the story, the nane of the story, your userid, the date you submitted the story, as well as details about your browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and any other relevant information that you think might help them track down the issue.
