I made chicken pot pie soup for my dad... i had a peanut butter sandwich. He ate and 5 servings went into the freezer for next time

I am hone now. Will sleep and work from here. With frequent check ins

No more 24 hrs a day withcmy parents. Today dad will drive self to dialysis. And doc appointments

He is loads better and he needs to be more active. He was enjoying being waited on and it wasnt helping him

Good call on stepping back so dad can up his activity levels. Sometimes help is a 4-letter word. A good nurse always knows when their patient needs a kick in the rear.

We’re also flannel sheet people.

Me, three! One of the last presents I got from my sibling who passed was a set of flannels for my bed. They remain a cherished gift and will for many, many more moons to come.

Yesterday was a long day here. Few welding projects over the weekend, and then trimming trees around the property.

Get some rest dear. Who knew taking care of our parents would be so exhausting? I’m glad to see he’s feeling better and can get around on his own now.

Had a day off when I get a call from momma…her HVAC didn’t come on. It was yesterday so even if she could get someone to come out they’d charge an outrageous call out fee. That big front is/was pushing through so it wasn’t hot and in fact got down around 57 last night, so we found a guy my dad used before he passed to come out today.

It’s still wet and windy. Gonna attempt a walk. Should have the park to myself. Hunker down and get through Monday!

Glad you found someone trusworthy for your mom's HVAC. Those systems always seem to like fritzing out on weekends and holidays.

Floors swept and mopped... i hate my floors. Installed before me incorrectly. They didnt pull up baseboards so there are big gaps.... i am this close to getting a quote and getting new flooring.... pisses me off. Now natter how clean looks dirty

Does anyone use 20 mule team in their laundry... i do and it is a gamechanger

It was busy and my schedule was stacked anyway, but somehow I got roped into organizing and facilating a leadership meeting for one of the business units. They want my input, but the leader of that business unit just kept on talking and talking and talking.

Since I’m doing it as a favor, I said “you seem to just need a meeting facilitator. Because you have all the ideas. That’s fine, if you want me to be an order taker, that’s fine, I’ll just do whatever you want me to do.”

Not quite to that extent, but the point was made.

If you give me 30 minutes, and jack your jaws for 60, youve wasted my time. I don’t much care for her - never have. She seems to make everything overly complicated. She is the COO and I’ve had a few last minute run ins with her.

I just shoulda told my boss I wouldn’t do it.

I do not. I just use regular detergent.

But I always liked the picture on 20 mile team, so there’s that!
