I answer relevant questions. I am not a deflecting trumper who occupies PB space. That's the sea lioning tactic that you were earlier accused of doing. What I believe you misunderstood from my thread, and it continued on in this one, is that many, if not all, of the left leaning members who post here are very knowledgeable on politics. As such, it is frustrating to have to hold the hand of someone here through to the current news cycle. It is not necessary for you to actually see the Kirk murder without having to know what his last words were about. An easy google search or reading of the event could easily catch one up. THAT is what frustrated Rory as it also frustrated me that you gave such a vanilla answer for the reasons the government is shutdown that it indicates to many here that you really have no idea at all at what the issues are that are at play. Again, you may take this as me insulting you, but I am again, for some reason, being very, very kind to you.

I personally do have a particular distaste for those who, in the age of trump, care to occupy some middle ground space. Now is not the time for such dumbassery. If that continues to be you, then you should get used to receiving my ire as well as those from those on the other side who think bipartisanship is weakness.

Moderates can influence the elections, each year. If LW don’t want to communicate nicely their views but RW do, that’s not going to end best for the LW.

Sure, DC is under Fed control as a unique city without representation in the US legal structure. Kirk would be ecstatic over rolling into Portland, Chicago, LA, or any other city with these exact words. That's not American by anyone's standards except for those who would trample on the freedoms of others for their own self-satisfaction.

It's one example. As was mentioned, you only had to Google it to find one.

I don't have any answers to soothe your feelings between LW and RW. I do know that the onus is always placed at the feet of the LW to reach out to moderates and RW's. I am not a politician and those attempts bore me. I will give you the answer to 2+2 always and it will be correct whether I whisper it in your ear or scream it at you with expletives - it is still all the same. If you, as a moderate, care for coddling then that means you are subjecting yourself to be open to lies and misinformation because the speaker is stroking your bruised ego. This is the PB board, not a trump rally.

But, to be fair, he also told you, as I initially did, that a simple google search would have given you an answer long ago.
