Submitted a story yesterday morning.
Today it said pending for 6 hours.
Last time it happened, story was stuck for close to a month.
I will wait to see what happens but I think I hit the bug again.
My prior submission was approved in less than 30 hours.

That is not the issue. I published the story 16 hours ago (I can see it My Work tab)
The system has changed it to 6 hours.
Last time it happened, my story never got published until I deleted it.

Give it time, this is an old system. You have to let the vacuum tubes warm up first

I am withdrawing it today, deleting it from the system. I will not be resubmitting The Contest: Becoming Sarah. It's too bad. It's a good story. You can find it on plenty of other sites, but for some reason @Literotica just will not publish it. I can't figure out why, so I'm done.

I've been working on it since March, worked with three editors, revised significantly, submitted and resubmitted. Nothing else I can do. I'm not happy about it, but I'm done. I can't keep doing that.

It's the "Pending Story Glitch" - it's not just you, it's quite a few other authors and story's and it's nothing to do with your story.

Story's are going into Pending and just sitting there for weeks and weeks. Most stories seem to go thru okay but a subset don't.

Happened to me - I deleted my story entirely and resubmitted as a new story and it went thru in about 3 days. Which is more of a typical time.

My advise is just delete it completely and submit as a New Story, or hold off until they have the issue fixed. Whatever it is. Whenever that will be.

I don't take it personally. I know that it had nothing to do with the story. It is just a bug.

It got caught in the Pending Story Glitch when I first submitted it in July. It's now October and it's been submitted twice.

We have no proof that certain random stories/poetry that end up in "limbo hell" for eternity aka the Pending queue ever "see" the eyes of a human. I think it's just a roll of the dice when it comes to a story getting posted. Definitely a CMS BUG

Exactemento - and without any update from Laurel or Manu it's all guess work. Just suck and see when it comes to deleting and resubmitting.

Thats why it's good to know if it works for other people. It's a shot in the dark but it seems to work

Knowing nothing about programming, I have no idea but teh way it behaves seems like some sort of bug

Submitted it July 22. Got caught in the glitch. Withdrew it. Deleted it from the system. That took place September 9. It apparently got caught in the glitch again. Withdrawn and deleted October 9. Not being resubmitted.
