You can hate it all you want. If you are running windows desktops and fail to upgrade to win11 before January you likely won't have a job very long.I'm wearing the sysadmin hat at work and have worked computer hardware/software maintenance positions. I've used 17 different version of windows and personally own 40+ PC's at home. I have the experience to say that I hate new versions of windows.
It's age. I used to be annoyed by new versions of windows. Now I fucking hate them!
The new laptop has a large memory upgrade, which was burned in for ~3 months. I still haven't booted windows on it!![]()
Lookin' good there, RJ!I finally got an Avatar that can see everyone with...

Well lemme know. I milled some black walnut and black locust for my cousin in California, palleted it and had it shipped.I am just kidding. I worked next door to a company that made custom stairways, mostly oak. I raided there dumpster at night and when I moved to FL I left most of it behind. It was all good stuff. Thick not free and some quarter sawn. Beautiful stuff. I do thank you for the thought!

I just got some cherry milled. It is gorgeous!
I’ve never seen this show… but damn, yo, I might just start!She did have a way with words did she not? Some bubba went and collected her most “naughty”;
She was always chowing down on what she made, licking her fingers and food all over the place!. Like a real cook! I watched other shows but Nigella was my favorite! Not sure she’s even on anymore…which is a shame.
Good football game last night. I cooked for the family and SWMBO wanted to steam some broccoli, so I was watching and she calls me in at the 2 min warning. I’m thinking KC is just gonna go down and score and win…MAN…I missed the best two mins of the game! Finish eating and go back in to see who won…couldn’t believe I missed a great ending…such is life.
Everyone have a great Tuesday! HMMZ——

It’s low enough that it doesn’t really scare me. The barn is pretty tall, esp in the back.So the Cape is one story, more or less just low enough to break your neck when you fall and the barn is another, as in 2 stories? Just want to be clear! You must have som tall trees! I am now reminded to put in gutter guards! In PA there were 4 maple trees around the house, 5 if you count the neighbors.
Did you fish for shad in the gutters?Great for shad in the winter and not too back to clean up after blowers were invented but as a kid I hated raking leaves!
Maybe put together!!That’s because she is probably smarter than both of us.
My friend dropped me off some maple… might be good for kindling….They just cut down a BIG maple. Hollow in the middle at the base
That’s really interesting. I’ve never heard of this before.Kinda not really. Bonsai is an art form that tries to miniaturize and form trees as art (usually in a pot???). Espalier is maybe similar, but more about shaping an outdoor (typically fruit) tree aesthetically. Either into a wall, or against a wall, or as a hedge or fence. You will see Espalier in engravings and prints against walls. Sort of like vine or scroll work or the acanthus was used as a form of decoration. It's been around since ancient roman times, IIRC.
Norway maples (sorry Missk!) are considered invasive. They have such dense cover that it prevents grasses from growing under them.I have seen that several times. It seems to be an issue with the way some maples grow. They are great shade trees, so much so that sometimes nothing will grow under them for lack of sunshine.
Dude - you’re like an encyclopedia Britannica today for me! I had never heard of that before and had to Google it.I'm thinking it's kinda like Garum...![]()
Great tally!Well everyone sorry I seem to be MIA these days. I don’t know where the time goes. Actually I do … on the hills or Merse largely with the odd day glued to a desk.
Our fowling season has begun and out in a Gale and rain on Saturday I had three geese for four shots so pretty damn pleased. I know it won’t always be that way but it felt good when I was cold and wet!
Probably because we're too busy to spend time doing something like this, collectively. I think it takes a spare afternoon or handful of them a few times a year. I've only been thinking about this for 10 or 15 years now! That’s really interesting. I’ve never heard of this before.
