Aug 27th for me.I had a brief pleasant exchange with her it late August. I just looked up the date (8/29) I asked her a question a week later that I thought was 50-50 to get a response on, but heard nothing. And that was right when the complaints about pending started to skyrocket.
AO3 may have more than that, but it's not all for erotica. In fact, I'd say the majority of it isn't.The closest competitor is lushstories with 1 million traffic.
Lit does not require exclusivity, and neither does Lush or most other site. I have stories on most sites. Can we publish on both sites, or do they require exclusivity? I was thinking about leaving my stories pending here, but submitting them on lush as well. Since I'm new here, I don't know if this is possible.
Which will be easier if you use the same user name or at least something close enough to be identifiable as the same.Technically speaking, this sort of thing create plagiarism issues on site, so if they check plagiarism then it will be flagged by the system. However, you hold all the rights of your content, and you can publish it on any site, so you might have to verify your ownership to the other site if they say it is plagiarized.
But they did that alreadyJust another thought...
If it is just the two of them. How many hours have they had to spend going through all the forum pages and illustrated stories deleting stuff.
It must have been hours and hours?
Sorry to hearChecked my phone this early morning and saw this....

Another case of time reset. I posted this submission yesterday. Here is the screenshot.

This has now happened with all of my last three attempts and all my other stories too. At this point, I’ve basically come to the conclusion that if a story gets stuck, it’s cooked. It’s not going to see the light of day. Four times in a row here, plus three more on top of that with my other submissions, that’s not a coincidence anymore. Did I get shadowbanned or something? Because this is insane.
From what I’ve read, a “time reset” supposedly means someone either changed something in the submission (definitely not me), or it passed through some filter, or even that it got approved but got lost in the void. Honestly, I doubt any of those. It feels like something else entirely, some fault in their fragile system. Wouldn’t even surprise me if it’s their AI-detection losing its mind. But why it’s targeting me specifically? That’s what I don’t get. My other stories were going up fine back in August. Ever since then, everything’s just been getting stuck, with only a few making it through.
Yes, I have the same username in both sites. And I have an author's note in the beginning that informs the reader that the story is on both sites as well. Thank you for the tip!Which will be easier if you use the same user name or at least something close enough to be identifiable as the same.
Yes, but didn't it happen DURING July/August.But they did that already
It seems unlikely - can’t see what the systemic connection would beYes, but didn't it happen DURING July/August.
Was that the cause of things falling over?

My theory is that Lit has moved to 100% automated story checking. If the story passes based on certain parameters (AI, plagiarism, grammar, length, and other lit rules), it gets published within 3-5 days depending on backlog. That is also the first time stamp. If it fails, the story goes into a pending queue. That is when the time reset occurs. If Laurel is the only one responsible for reading and posting stories that fail the automated test, and she is not okay, then perhaps that is why the backlog exists.Checked my phone this early morning and saw this....

I wonder if their db system is maxed out and they don't have room for more stories. Laurel went and advertised the Halloween contest like nothing was wrong.
I have 2 story edits posted on 9/17 and a new story to go along with them on 10/1. My halloween story should be done by 10/5
Edits can take 3 - 4 weeksGlad I'm not alone. I have an edit submitted Sept 14 that's still waiting.
Last time I submitted an edit (in late July), it took 14 days. That's about average for edits, in my experience.
Yes, of course they can... but every edit I've ever submitted took about 2 weeks. Except this latest one.Edits can take 3 - 4 weeks
Same here. I don't publish a lot of edits solely because they take so long. I'm re-writing a series and instead of editing the stories, I'm submitting them with a different name and deleting the original.Glad I'm not alone. I have an edit submitted Sept 14 that's still waiting.

It’s been taking 3+ weeks for me long before whatever happened in AugustYes, of course they can... but every edit I've ever submitted took about 2 weeks. Except this latest one.
