We had this giant war canoe (20 something feet long) that we inherited. We sold it to some local Lenape Indians.

One of the people was a healer or medicine man. He burned sage and blessed the canoe. We asked him if he could also bless our barn. He also helped us get rid of a groundhog!

True story!

Likely, the spirits convinced the groundhog to go to live somewhere else.

I haven’t gotten a haircut in 15 years or so. I used to like going to the barber and talk about sports and stuff.

I found a good barber. He went (back) to prison. Another lost his (fucking) mind and ghosted us all. One shop had two guys. The owner was in a hurry and always cut my hair lopsided. His partner was good and got it level, but his eyesight started crapping out on him.


So I went and bought clippers.


I imagine that all those guys are dead by now . . . .

Pro-Tip: Hoppe's #9 also works GREAT on cleaning tiny POS carburetors such as weedeaters and the like...
I figured that out from using it to soak/clean aircraft fuel injector nozzles.

That doesn't surprise me. I have also used carb cleaner on tiny assembled gun bits that I wanted clean but didn't want to fiddle with. Then I'd soak them in Hoppe's.

I know. I just don't like the taste of the full sugar ones. I do limit myself now. I used to drink a six pack of Diet Coke during a 12 hour night shift.

I'd knock out a 2 liter Diet Coke while installing a set of kitchen cabinets in a new house. My brother would toss off a sixpack before 9AM daily. One reacclimates to the sugar in the regular sodas. Water is best of all, and that's most of what Wat drinks any more.

Awake after a fashion. Stepped out on the front porch. It's raining/rainy. Humid as all diddlefuck, too. Gotta go pick up my new rifle this morning and then toddle off to the blue box store to score some rags, microfiber towels and machine oil.


I'm hoping that my thought on what I did wrong with the old Winchester bolt last weekend is correct. If so, I can get that project cleaned and headed to completion this weekend. It's gonna rain all weekend, most likely.


The grass finally needs cutting, but it'll wait.
