Have you seen a specialist yet? Provided there's something that could be done, I believe the window closes between 6 and 9 months.

It is very gradually improving. But it’s been nearly two months and still hurts and is still somewhat numb.

The weeks are not getting longer. It is almost gone and I am forgetting to take the trash out. Got laundry that is not done. And after 13 years my closet shelf on one side gave up. The shelf is back up but damn that is a lot of stuff. Not sure how it is going to fit. I'm gonna be my dad. I never use the dryer much so now that I am here all those old clothes are retro. But they are still good. And... My sweat shirts. Can't have em.

Apparently it was a catch all space. I have a lot of band aides. I have a lot of ibuprofen I wondered if I needed when I was at costco. All the little tooth pastes, floss and toothbrushes from the dentist. A back pack with old cameras. Even Ammo that never made it or wouldn't fit in the safe. I may have a lifetime supply of qtips too. hahaha Some of the stuff up there may be there because I forgot I put it there. The good new is, it is not going to fall again. It could pull the drywall off the studs maybe, but the shelf is not coming off the wall again.

I did that one with a button that came off a pair of pants. I sewed it on so it would never come off again.
Well, I was part right - the inner X of the button stayed put. But the outer O of the button shot off like it was shot out a gun barrel. It flew all the way across the room and hit the wall so hard it had people ducking for cover. Not dropping to the floor, but heads were bowed in fear.
It took me hours to get the rest of that button off those pants so I could sew a new one on them.
That's when I learned the toothpick trick -

Well...
Took mom dad and the neighbors out for dinner at the local pizza place. . Dad did pretty good with choice... not an every day food but a treat

Then the helped us move the heaviest couch and chair to frint porch for goodwill pick up.

New lift chairs come friday.

I am going home tomorrow til sunday am. My sister is gonna stay over so i can have a break

Doctors appt tomorrow with me and my dad to get some insulin recomendations etc.... i need labs. I had a bad stomach again today....

Long day. I am working 1/2 days remotely this week till Thursday. Today was a ln afternoon work day. We went hiking all over this nice park in Atlantic highlands overlooking Sandy hook.

Really nice hiking and there were cool old gun emplacements from ww2 there. Then we walked over to to twin lights lighthouse (which is actually two lighthouses).

Then I worked in the afternoon. Was kinda nice. I have some travel coming up - in October.

Then out to dinner at a nice seafood restaurant overlooking the Navesink River. Really nice area.

One of the nice and interesting things about this area is that it’s only about 15 miles from New York across the bay. It’s so rural in some spots!

Up and "running" for a bit now. I use that term loosely.


Work may have tooken a turn for the weird. I see my way clear to passing the job I came from and getting this one done (except for the site work) by mid-January. I was told that this might be a no-no because they have to go in order. Now, to me, the fact that the other job is constipated by circumstance as well as poor management (the guy I didn't like, who wanted to be in charge soooo badly, and who I told to be careful what he prayed for, but he didn't listen - as usual) shouldn't hold me up. Ever. This may be a first in this industry. Go figure. Then again, maybe I'm wrong.

They should just turn you loose and let you do the job they're paying you for! Sounds like you might get roped into "helping" (meaning doing it yourself) incompetent man.

Sure is. Friend of mine has a house with a creek that borders the backyard. They are required to address all invasive plants growing along the creek in their backyard. Inspections are done and fines imposed for non-compliance. And homeowners need to conduct this work in a city-proscribed manner which is manual and time-consuming.

Where I grew up there's a Biergarten in one of our city parks. It's seasonal - hello, Midwest. Advertises itself as the first public beer garden in the US since Prohibition (I have not fact-checked this statement).
Every summer when my family does our reunion, there's an afternoon spent there. It offers various beers, bratwurst, hotdogs, and giant pretzels.
We go in late August when there are hornets. Loads and loads of hornets.

I find the idea of mushroom coffee intruiging but haven't considered trying it. I love mushrooms and (mostly) tolerate them pretty well. So I follow the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" line of thought. Plus - why ruin a perfectly good food on a whim.
