Dire news at Starbucks today....they announced their SIXTH consecutive quarter of falling revenues. To remedy customer resistance to highly increased prices and exceptionally long lines at the pickup queue, Starbucks has bravely announced the closing of 124 of their coffee shops (out of 18,000+) and a second round of layoffs at corporate offices (900 last March, 1000 this month).

Starbucks is getting decimated by cheeky startups such as Dutch bros, . Black Rifle coffee (for Wat_Tyler class alpha-male wannabees), Scooters drive thrus etc.

Second place Dunkin simply smiles and continues to sell coffee and doughnuts.

Chavez was duly elected by popular vote and by the time Venezuela really started going off the rails Obama was president. Chavez died and Maduro doubled down in driving Venezuela into the dirt. Venezuela was a mono-economy, oil, and both Chavez and Maduro put their cronies in charge of the oil production. The cronies were as incompetent as they were corrupt and production has gone to shit. Canada actually benefited from those clowns getting rid of competent engineers, they were experienced in dealing with heavy crude and are now working in Alberta.
