What Book Are You Currently Reading?

I'm (ambitiously) attempting to read the Wheel of Time series... there are 14 books total (not counting companion/prequels) 😭
I read most of those when they were coming out, then there was like ten plus years before the next one came out. I’d forgotten enough that I would have to start at the beginning and just… couldn’t. Couldn’t get into them again so you’ll have to let me know how it ends!

I'm currently on Book 4... it really is an effort.
Robert Jordan was definitely from the same school of writing that George R.R. Martin was from: pages and pages of unnecessary detail.

They are the novelist equivalents of "It could have been an email" 😭

Still one of my favorite authors. I will and it book 5 wasn’t that good

I found the series right when book 2 was first published. I was at the book store the day every other book came out!

A classic,The old man and the sea, after The diving bell and the butterfly and this, I'm going to need something light I think.

If you’re looking for something light give Tell Me Everything by Amy Hatvany a chance.. I enjoyed it, but it’s a cautionary tale.

Since my last update here I read:
-The Seven O’Clock Club by Amelia Ireland
-The Southern Book Club’s Guide To Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix
-Forever, Interrupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I’m about to start The Art of Frugal Hedonism by Annie Raser-Rowland and Adam Grubb
